Owner description: Aloha and welcome to Mauis Garden Of Eden Arboretum. An Arboretum is a park dedicated to trees. We also feature hundreds of lowland rainforest species of flowers, shrubs, and ground covers as well.We began this project in1991 with 30 acres of densely overgrown jungle, now after investing more than 20yrs of physical labor and 2 million dollars, we have created one of Hawaii's most visited botanical gardens. We have many plants found nowhere else or are uncommon to Hawaii, such as rare Amazon fruits and medicinal species, endangered hardwoods, spice, exotic nut trees, ferns and so much more...A botanical Disneyland with over 2 miles of maintained graveled walking trails...A truly educational facility with over 700 plants botanically labeled. Try to allow at least 45 minutes to explore. We feature great views and photo opportunities but no direct access to the waterfall or pools. If you are only interested in restrooms (we now have improved facilities) You can do so for free 2 miles down the road.A portion of your entry fee is donated to the nature conservatory. The cost to keep our gate open averages $1,000/dy so we sincerely thank you for your support,,,especially those who have contributed beyond our entry fee. Most botanical gardens have teams of volunteers and use chemicals to curb costs. Our entire staff are well paid professionals, and we are almost entirely a chemical free park. Thank you for visiting, we do take your comments to heart

If you owned a tip of the overview of the North East area on the road to Hana, and you developed the lush qualities native there along with paths, labeled plants and much aloha you have the Maui Garden of Eden Botanical Gardens and Arboretum. Someone was very smart. We have family on island so we paid the local rate... More

We stopped here and at first were sad to pay 15.00 each to get in...ITS WORTH IT. You can walk or drive through it...we walked. The plants and trees are loved and labelled, I learned a ton!! View areas are expansive and gorgeous in fact most of our Hana pictures are from here. If you have time make sure to... More

We made sure to find this place on our drive down to Hana. The price is a little high but probably worth it. Problem for us was that is was raining almost the whole time we were there so we didn't get to see as much as would have liked. Really nice art gallery and gift shop.

Driving the road to Hana was an all day adventure for us. We started really early so when we passed the Garden of Eden, they hadn't opened yet but we stopped on the way back. It's pricey ($15 each I think) but it was amazing. The people who run this place seem to care about every tree, bush and creature.... More

This is a good stop for relief from the twist and turns of the highway. I thought the price seemed a little high, but they gave us a break for the three of us. When you realize the work that has been put into this garden I did not begrudge the cost. The paths were well planned, the views magnificent... More

My husband and I stopped here mainly to take a break from the dizzying turns of the Road to Hanna. We absolutely loved this place! There were so many beautiful plants and trees to see and the overlooks were stunning. We really didn't mind the price but I wish it had been posted at the entrance.

On our way to Hana we take break and stopped at the Garden of Eden. By the entrance when you buy the ticket you also get a map of the garden with parking spots and the path where you can walk and with the most interesting points of the garden. When you walk around you can see beautifully flowers, interesting... More

When you enter the garden the guy who is selling tickets, gives you a map and tells you where is the best view of some things. You have a few car parks, so basically you are driving through gardens. There are paths all around and you can choose what to see. It is worth of visiting.

A little pricey, but everything in Maui is! Excellent plants, trees, even feed the ducks, peacock and other animals. Nice hilltop view of falls and rock from Jurassic Park film.
