What is the big deal here? You just walk up a hill for about 30 minutes to a cross made out of lava stones. Many say there are so many more incredible options for activities on east Maui and Hana Town. Yet, the trek up this particular hill may be more than most anticipate. The trailhead is directly across from... More

We hiked to Fagan's Cross while staying at Travassa and it was a great way to start the day. A good up hill climb, which will get your heart rate up and once you are on top, the view is gorgeous. Make sure you bring you camera!

It was wonderful! We watched the sunrise at Hamosa Beach and then went for breakfast at the Travaasa Hana Hotel . While waiting for the resturant to open; the lady at the reception desk suggested we take the short hike. She gave us a key to the gate and we actually drove up. The timing was perfect! The best place... More

We walked & ran up there every morning. It was a great workout with a beautiful view. See how many pheasants you can spot.

The view from the top was spectacular. The walk up to the top was not very interesting and was very hot because there was no shade.

Fagan's Cross offers a fantastic overlook venue of Hana. It is on private property and cattle may be present, so it's best to ask at the main desk of Travaasa Hotel just to be sure it's ok to go. Once you've done that, you can enjoy the walk all the way to the cross on an asphalt sidewalk. For those... More

An Easter Sunday service here is on my bucket list for sure. It's an easy hike from the Travaasa resort and a must do.

The walk or drive up to this promontory provides great view of Hana Town and Hana Bay. Get gate keys from the Travaasa hotel. Access not available when cattle are grazing in the surrounding pasture.

This walk is a great addition to your day in Hana. It's fully paved and winds up a hill overlooking Hana with lots of birds...and cows! We have been coming to Hana for years and this is the first time there was an entire herd here. They were moved to this part of the ranch from wherever else they were... More

We love this hike. It's beautiful and not too long to do with kids. We'd done the hike 2 years ago and upon visiting Hana again we decided to do it with our three kids 6,4, and 1( in the backpack ). When we got there the cows were close to the walkway but we thought they must be docile... More
