What a great little center and museum. Learn the history and see photos of bygone day's in Hana. Relic's too decorate the center. Located 1 block up from Hana Bay, walk over during your day at the bay.

You can see photos of the famous past residents for whom local landmarks are named. (See the actual Mr. Hasegawa who started Hasegawa's store! Perhaps only... More

Look . . . Hana is a small town, so don't expect some great big museum. However, you've done that incredibly difficult drive to get to Hana; you really ought to see this place. The lady running the place is very nice and she will talk to you as much or as little as you like. There are some neat... More

Hana Cultural Center has hales and many other artifacts and teaches about ancient Hawaiian culture. It is small but well worth the visit.

This offers one the opportunity to see how lives were lived in old Hawaii. Fishing, cooking, dressing, etc. are nicely displayed in the main building. Also, the adjacent courthouse lets one see into the past. The thatched hale (houses) are also interesting.

Granted the centre houses an eclectic mix of artefacts and articles, but definitely worth visiting and supporting! Very friendly staff.
