We had a mustang convertible for our drive to Hana and we had a blast. So much to see and do there. We had to pick and choose the places we stopped. The seven sacred pools are a must as well as the Fish Taco restaurant and gift shop. It was actually a few roadside stands put together, but the... More

Nice way to spend a day. We tried to drive straight to the end and hike the pipiwa trail first before doing the other stops, but couldnt help ourselves when we passed by some great locations. If you have the road to hana app, they will tell you about a nice beach area that is slightly off the road to... More

If you aren't a shopper and are bored by glitz or lying on a beach again, head to Hana. Actually, if I had it to do over again, I would have spent a week in Hana. The trouble there is not a lot of restaurants so either stay at the high end hotel or book one of the many vacation... More

We did a tour with Discover Hawaii for the Road to Hana. Our tour guide was Ben. He absolutely made the trip enjoyable. His knowledge of the road, the locals and his passion for the area was amazing! I would certainly recommend this, but take the tour, don't drive yourself!

Road to Hanna – Little Hyped (if it’s #1 thing to do in Maui then it’s an insult to Maui!!!) This reviews is written by a couple with a kid below 10. If your idea of vacation is long and gruesome hikes and jumping in falls from a tall cliff, you may need to read another review. If you are... More

We had 8 nights on Maui, me, hubby and 15 yo son so had days to spare. The road is everything everyone says it is, beautiful views, several stops to choose from. Like the previous reviewer we did not buy a CD just looked at other reviews online and chose a few stops. We started out early from Wailea drove... More

We drove the road to Hana on a day when a hurricane was coming. Given the not great weather coming in we actually did not make it all the way to Hana although we made it more then half way three. We rented a jeep which was helpful. We did not get the cd, we really just looked up some... More

Could not imagine driving this road in any kind of bad weather. Gets your heart racing just doing 20 miles an hour, coming around hairpin turns, one lane bridges and locals driving straight up the middle of the road. But the views are breath taking. So many lookouts and stops along the way!! Definitely worth the trip!

Our Hana experience/adventure was just that - an adventure. We drove it 3 times - day and night. Here is what we had: A Nissan Rouge, which was a great vehicle for this trip. It was agile and just the right size for manuvering around the curves and tight spaces (some of the convertibles seemed a little wide to me);... More
