If you have a car, try the road to Hana tour. There is an app that you can download called Gypsy. Download that from the wi-fi then open the app as you drive. The route is then narrated. The cost is $3.95 but it points out all the stops and highlights along the way up the road and then different... More

This is a once in a lifetime event. Don't miss out. The scenery is breathtaking. Stop and enjoy the shops in the old towns, beaches, and waterfalls. The 7 pools was worth the drive if you never stood in a waterfall.

People may totally disagree but I will be honest and state the Way it is and of course give my opinion. I almost always use Trip Adviser to read up before going to restaurants or seeing or doing attractions. I did not for Hana. We stopped in the last town on 31 and bout a cd about the road to... More

Very beautiful scenery. We left at 6am and got back at 7pm and didn't stop to see all that much. It was breathtaking but I wish I didn't give up a entire day to do it. Winding roads are a understatement and it got crowded.

Based on reviews/research, I gassed up and packed a lunch. I did not need to bother. I drove all the way to the National Park (beyond Hana) and back and used a quarter tank of gas. $5 worth. Also, there were plenty of interesting places along the way willing to sell you food. Lots of BBQ and fish type stands.... More

Wow, what a day. First stop was the painted trees around mile marker 6.5-6 on the left. Never seen anything like it. At mile marker 13 for a view of the Ke'anae Peninsula. Just before mile marker 17 is a bridge with a pull-out. Park there walk across the road and there is a trail to Ching's Pond. Next we... More

Fun day trip, lots of curves and one lane bridges, but as long as you go slow, it is an easy beautiful drive. Leave early in the day for this drive. Bring a picnic lunch and stop at every opportunity for a "rest stop". Bathrooms are far apart on this drive.. Make sure you take the side trip to the... More

Words cannot express how beautiful the scenery was on this excursion. Around each turn there was another beautiful, picture worth vista to take in. I don't recommend driving it yourself. Take a tour. The drivers know the terrain and can avoid the areas where ordinary people would get stuck. Stop at the banana stand for fresh banana bread and shave... More

This was a fun day. Expect to leave your hotel early and be on the road by 6 or 7. If you are planning to drive all the way to the Oleo Gulch, you should plan to leave by 3:00 pm in order not to have to drive back on the narrow roads in the dark. There are many great... More

Don't get me wrong; this is a beautiful drive and if you have it on your bucket list don't take it off because of this review, but we had heard so much about it that I guess our expectations were too high. What's more, we were disappointed by Hana itself. Although we knew that the journey was what this drive... More
