The Challenge at Manele has great food at lunch. Prices are more reasonable than at the Four Seasons restaurants at the hotel. And the views are fantastic...better than those at the hotel. Between 3 and 6 p.m on some days there are specials on cocktails, wine and beer. You can take a free shuttle from Four Seasons at Manale Bay... More

Incredible golf course. Relatively quiet for afternoon play. Being new to golf, we limited ourselves to 9 Holes and played the back 9. Will I ever again have to decide between taking a swing and watching the whales slap their tails just off the cliffs?? Just the most amazing setting and a beautifully maintained course. Incredible!

Loved it! Bring your camera! You pay 1 price for the day, so we played 36 holes. Remember to check in between rounds or you'll be charged an extra fee.

I play a LOT of golf (I posted 92 rounds last year) and I can say with certainty that this is the most stunningly gorgeous golf course I have ever played! There are ocean views on every hole and the pace of play allowed for us to really enjoy the views and take pictures. We got to go out as... More

I rate this course in my top 5 in Hawaii. My top 2 are Prince and Plantation. There are ocean views on pretty much every hole. The back nine has holes along (or over) the ocean. We played in the afternoon and there was virtually no one on the course. We stay at the FS Manele Bay but many folks... More

I took the ferry from Maui over to Lanai to golf both The Challenge and The Experience. This package deal was worth every penny. I will not bore you with the package details you can google but I will give you my tips. Bring all, repeat all, that you need with you, ie, food, snacks, drinks, sunscreen etc.. I brought... More

Challenging yet not overbearing. If you hit good shots... You are rewarded. You can score on this course. Practice uphill, downhill and side hill lies before you come. The undulating fairways often leave you with lies above or below your feet. The sand is soft... So if you end up in a trap... Be ready to his a shot with... More

During our trip to Hawaii, we played some beautiful golf courses. Our favorite was the Challenge at Manele. It felt like we were the only ones on the island and the course was in fantastic shape. Service was unbelievable, one of the marshals brought a peppermint infused cool towel during the round to refresh you. The staff was pleasant and... More
