What an extraordinary experience. Spent close to 3 hours here meeting and petting the cats on April 26, 2012. Not many people can say they have visited a true cat community! Just incredible what LARC has created. Amanda from LARC picked me up at my hotel and took me over for a visit. Fabulous I read about the sanctuary here... More

Who would have thought the highlight of our honeymoon in Maui would be the time we spent on Lanai at the Lanai Animal Rescue Center! Here we met and took home our MOST PRECIOUS souvenir, our new cat, HULA PIE! Though the people at LARC knew her as Sahara. They made the adoption process go so smoothly as you can... More

Mahalo (Thank you) for you wonderful words of kindness! It was wonderful meeting you both and watching Hula Pie find her Forever Family!! It is our dream that all our kitties will find families as wonderful as yours!! We miss our Sahara and the cute little jump she does right before you pet her... but we know that she is... More

This is the best animal rescue group I've seen. They have many many cats that are healthy, neutered, and happy. It's all outdoors and protected (fenced in). If you are there when they have it open to the public - it's a must see. Especially if you are a cat lover. More

I visited the Lanai cat sanctuary and fell in love. The sanctuary is like going to Africa, only the cats are smaller and very friendly. Kids and adults will adore the experience and it is very hard to leave and not take a cat home with you. Thankfully, they have a program that enabled me to help out called the... More

My family and I visited the cat sanctuary on a recent vacation to Lanai. I had noticed it on TripAdvisor as one of the top rated attractions, it delivers in spades. When visiting the sanctuary you are greeted by dozens of loving cats. I know, cats tend to let you come to them, not the other way around, here it's... More

Just drove by the place out there in the old Pineapple Plantation - didn't see any cats there but it was expansive and anyone who shelters animals has to be doing well with us. More

Visited Kathy and human and feline friends at LARC, the Lanai Animal Rescue Center, as a joint birthday gift with a friend from Florida. Most people go to Lanai to play golf and/or relax. We specifically went to see the center. What a great place. This is a MUST for anyone who loves felines. As a birthday gift, I now... More
