My daughter and I stopped by on our way back to town. It was well worth the stop. She loved being around the cats and it was so clean considering how many cats are cared for there. Super friendly and welcoming staff too.

Come spend time with Lana'i's (Little) Lions and the wonderful people at LARC. The place is extraordinarily well run: clean, safe, and peaceful--a perfect sanctuary for the "Lana'i Lions" as the Founder, Kathy Carroll calls them. The cats are friendly and there's plenty of places to sit and get a lap-full of fur. Be sure to bring a cat toy... More

My husband and I travelled to Lanai January this year for part of our honeymoon and we heard there was a cat sanctuary and as cat lovers, we decided upon a visit. When we arrived we were greeted not only by Kathy, but several cats lazily basking in the sun and kittens running around. It was an extremely pleasant afternoon... More

My husband and another couple made the day trip to Lanai from Maui in April. We are all cat lovers, but never expected how amazing it would be to meet Cathy and the staff, and of course the 404 cats that call it home. Cathy is one of the most amazing people you will ever meet, and her care and... More

I have never seen a place like this. An outdoor sanctuary for 400 cats. It was clean and really a fun time. Most of the cats wanted to playand were extremely friendly. The staff were very informative. They do great work. This could be a model for any warm weather place.

Upon our first visit to Lanai Island I discovered the Lanai Animal Rescue Center. Mike Carroll the owner of "Mike Carroll Gallery" In Lanai City had a most wonderful painting of a beautiful lady surrounded by cats. She happened to be his wife and he suggested we visit the Lanai Animal Rescue center. My Son and I had such a... More

If you're a cat lover, this place is your heaven! We visited while on our honeymoon and it was one of our favorite trip highlights. We took a ferry from Maui and spent our day loving on the kitties for 4 hours!!! We got to know them by name and personality and still talk about our favorites! Luckily, you can... More

What a wonderful cat sanctuary located on the small island of Lanai! If you are an animal lover you should definitely take the time to visit. Kathy is a wonderful hostess to this cat rescue center, and takes the time to introduce you to the staff and the 400+ cats housed there. How she & her team remember all the... More

I was so happy that I visited this place on our day trip to Lanai. From all the other reviews I knew is was a place that we must visit. When we pulled up a cat walked up to our car with a mouse in its mouth. It followed us to the entrance and went in the enclosure. The set... More
