You have to rent a Jeep to go to this place. It's a muddy road to the garden with a lot of bumps. It was more like an adventure, the garden it self it's not all that but it's interesting how the rocks are just laying around like that. if you are in the area definitely a must.

If you are on Lanai this is something you really should take the time to do. Its a quick drive through sort of thing. It does feel other-worldly and is a cool backdrop for photographs.

Keahiakawelo, also known as Garden of the Gods, is an otherworldly rock garden at the end of rocky Polihua Road. This amazing and almost unreal place is about 45 minutes from Lanai City. It's topography is populated with boulders and rock towers. According to Hawaiian folklore, this windswept landscape is the result of a contest between two priests from Lanai... More

Like stepping onto an alien landscape. Take a moment and walk around to check things out. Great atmosphere.

You'll need a 4x4 wheel drive and nerves of steel but well worth the journey - very different terrain for the island so nice to see - take a picnic and keep driving to the beach below.

A bunch of rather interesting rocks and boulders with a good view at the end of a bumpy 4WD road. The native dry forest that was described en route was virtually nonexistent; almost all the species I saw were alien.

And just know- that you are not god and cant order the weather. After rain...well, sometimes its impossible to drive, sometimes possible...you always take risks in your life-... More
