After reading all the positive reviews we called for a reservation and were told none was needed, but they don't open until 1PM. So we went to lunch and arrived at 1:10. Parking lot is on opposite side from the entrance. So you park and then walk around to the entrance. Surprise! The place was locked and lights out, with... More

This is a great place to stop along the way to Waimea Canyon. There is a small museum with displays about the history of Koloa Town. They offer free guided walks through the town of Waimea with a local guide. There is no admission fee but you need to make advance reservations as they limit the amount of people on... More

We attended several classes/walks that the West Kauai Technology & Visitor Center offers during the course of the week. The Waimea Town Historical 3 hr. walk on Mondays from 9:30a.m-12:30p.m. was so packed of information about perspectives on growing up in the town of Waimea as a local. Our guide lead us to historical sights including the churches, shopping areas,... More

This has been on our "bucket" list for several Kauai visits. This time we made it. What a surprise. The center contains artifacts and pictures of what Kauai used to be. They describe the ranching, sugar industry, and early settlers. Spent an hour there reading and looking. Add it to your list of places to visit.

We just stopped by becasue we had a few hours before our sunset cruise of the Napali coast. We were glad we did because the staff told us of a great place to visit before heading off on our cruise a few hours later.

Most folks who visit Kaua`i drive past this modern-looking building, but it's worth taking the time to stop. It's a lovely place to use a computer and also offers learning opportunities (classes) and a small museum. The displays about the West Side are informative and attractive. There are clean restrooms, plenty of parking, and it's easy to get on/off the... More

We do not travel with a device that allows us internet access so we stopped here to utilize the free internet service. The young woman that assisted us was so nice and helpful. She also surprised the female in our duo with the gift of a free flower lei. We had stopped at the library but you have to have... More

We went to the visitor center for the Aloha Friday lei making class. It was a free class that I saw listed on a website of Kauai activities. I thought I had asked when I made the reservation if it was for flower leis, but when we walked in, there was this table set up with these paper flower cut... More
