you need at least an hour to take in the breathtaking views, there are so many colours and no one wanted to move everyone was quiet just looking at all the different sights. Some people said they were more impressed with this than the Grand Canyon, I don't agree but I think what made them say it was the colours

Have been here 3 times, depending on the clouds and the sun, you never know what you will see. My last visit in February 2014, it was spectacular!

I've never seen the Grand Canyon, but if it is anything like this "Mini" one....it must be great. This was a wonderful trip. We went all the way to the top. On the way back down we have a picnic and watched the chickens.

This is a huge, beautiful canyon that shouldn't be missed. We stopped twice to marvel at its beauty from different angles and enjoy the distant White-tailed Tropicbirds soaring over their nesting grounds. Helicopters can be seen taking visitors on a birds-eye vista of its glory. We came all the way from Kapa'a to see it and it is worth a... More

We traveled through the Waimea Canyon road and stopped at several places with amazing views! Bring snacks and water because there is not much as you drive through the area.
