Going to this theater is like going back in time to when you where a kid. You would think that you would see this place in a movie, instead of seeing a movie in this place. It only has one screen and only has about 5 showings for the whole week, but is also used for many community events. It...

When I visited Kauai, it never stopped raining. The Waimea Theater provided a dry distraction from the rain, and was quite a pleasureable experience due to its older style. A restored, 1930s, art deco theater. Go on Wed or Thurs night to see a good movie (often) and meet the regulars. Small town America the way it used to be, except the seats are more comfortable. Great place on this planet.
