Definitely worth the stop! We read about this in the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook and got a bit of history/legend before stopping. Knowing the legend added to the experience. The waves were rough which made the spout impressive. We were also lucky enough to spot a sea turtle at the same time. There are little kiosks with the typical Hawaii trinkets.... More

Not too sound negative, but Spouting Horn is not exciting. The water "spray" is not very big. The legend behind Spouting Horn is most interesting and the paintings, etc. that you can find in art galleries in the area are wonderful. Be sure to see the artwork if you must see Spouting Horn. I also enjoyed the souvenir shops beside... More

Great photo stop! We did see this sight twice. Not much action on the first trip, however, waves were spectacular each time and we saw more spouting on our second viewing. The other highlight was seeing a turtle on both occasions. Vendors are nearby to buy souvenirs.

Great stop to make - it will be the best show when the waves are rough. The water comes in a blows up through the hole in the rock...almost like old faithful! There are also venders there selling various souvenier items.

Interesting natural phenomena but learn the story of the site! Great photo opportunity for both the spout and the chickens😃 There was a market being set up as we arrived - the local economy needs this but I'm not a fan of having to run the gauntlet to get to the point of interest.

I found out about this attraction via the Ultimate Kauai Guidebook. It was fun to read about the legend before seeing it. I think it depends on the tide as to how high the spout gets.

If you are in Poipu then you should go see this. The drive takes you past dream houses that most of us wish we owned right on the coast. The spot itself is at the end of the road. They have street vendors set up on the path to view the coast. Their prices seem a bit higher that what... More

Don't get me wrong-this is a pretty cool thing to see but I wouldn't go way out of my way to do so. If you're on a limited time schedule, skip this site.

Cool spot. Interesting harmonics coming from blowhole. Check it out at sunset, pretty, and chickens go to roust in trees then.

Photos will depend upon sea conditions and weather. Worth stopping for--good photograph opportunities.
