My family and I stopped here before checking into our nearby hotel. My daughter loved watching the spout, created by the waves. We had picked up bento boxes and some poke from a spot in Lihue and it was perfect for this park. There are only 2 picnic tables but most visitors spent 15 minutes or less here.

Great spot, you can just drive up to it and watch the "horn". It happens every several minutes, so you won't miss it!

It's a natural wonder that you do not see everywhere you visit. The surf goes into lava tubes, and sprouts water. You will have to be fast to get a picture of it but will have many opportunities to catch the next one. There are many local vendors with tables set up with items to buy.

My students loved waiting for and watching the horn spout. Our guide taught them how to predict when the horn would blow by watching the incoming waves. It may take a bit, but wait for that grand blowing!

This small side trip won't take very long, and worth the stop on your way to somewhere you are headed to on the island!

Spouting Horn at high tide is more spectacular. We went on two different days and the day that the tide was up made the Spouting Horn really spout!!! So plan your day to see this when the tide is higher. (Allerton Gardens is across the street, see other review) They have bathrooms and a row of Touristy shops to buy... More

We were in the area and decided to see what the spouting horn was all about. What a great day we picked to hear and see it! You can walk right up to the viewing area which is next to a large parking lot (no long walk for this stop) plus there was plenty of parking. It was a quick... More

It's definitely not a destination but if in the area it is worthwhile to take a look and some photos of a beautiful shoreline. It's a lava tube with a vent that the waves gush thru like a geyser. Most people look for about 5 minutes and spend more time with the outdoor vendors before moving on to another attraction.

The sea was relatively calm the day we stopped to see the Spouting Horn so the Horn wasn't spouting as high as I'm sure it is on a really windy day but it was incredible. It is an awesome area to visit and it's FREE! How often does that happen?
