Great Hike with Spectacular Views

Wonderful, relatively easy cliff-side hike. Be sure to bring water with you if it's on the warm side.

What a nice surprise! Parked at Shipwreck Beach and hiked along the coast. It was hot but we were saved by the sea breezes. I would suggest an early start. Walked down to the beach and ate our lunch and played in the waves. There was no one there. Crazy! Beautiful hike and wonderful scenery. Did not go into the... More

This was my second highlight of the trip and so amazing! First highlight being the hike in the north shore on kalalau Trail but if you are on the south side I totally recommend this trail. Start earlier in the morning as it's super hot and bring water, hat, sunglasses. I started around 10am from the Hyatt but it got... More

This is a very essy trail, app. 4 miles along the ocean coast. It is beautiful all the way and at the end, you can visit a cave! A guide is waiting for yoy and will tell you some story about the cave, very cool. Bring some money for donation!!! If you continue, we will find a beautiful beach with... More

An approximate 2-3 hour hike with breathtaking views and views of sacred places. Access to the trail is from the beach next to the Grand Hyatt -- not well marked but easy to find.

We hiked part of the trail twice and it was lovely, great pictures, fun but easy. It was also fun watching people jump off of the rock cliff at shipwreck beach.

We did two other major hikes in Kokee park and the Na'pali coast, so this one was much less intense and we went with zero expectations. If you adjust for effort/crowds/weather, this hike was right up there Certainly not the same views you get up on the north side of the island, but a very pleasant and enjoyable time that... More

Marvelous maze of trails along the ocean thaqt snake through ironwood trees and the rocky coastline. Trails eventually meet and take you further down the coast. I love to rent a dog for the day at the Kauai Humane Society and take the pups there. They love it! Recommend this trail for just about everyone! Its not terribly difficult, but... More

This lovely trail starts just past the Hyatt. I don't remember where I picked it up, but there is a visitor brochure available that describes the things to look for. It's not a difficult walk and the views are breathtaking.

Wife and younger kid did the trail ( as I played some golf at the course POIPU by the trail...;) ) we are not hikers and they had just a blast, really loved it for the views and convenience.
