We'd booked a private charter several months ago, so with the arrival of Hurricane's Iselle and Julio we were concerned that we might have to cancel. Tara was great, recommending the best alternate date and suggesting an earlier start as the seas would be calmer. This was a fantastic tour, we saw three separate groups of spinner dolphins, flying fish... More

I booked this particular trip because of the opportunity to go with a marine biologist and learn about the reef systems and ocean while snorkeling. We went on July 3, 2014. First let me say, the two young brothers who provided the trip were very sweet and had tons of aloha. The disappointing part is, no Tara, no explanation about... More

Great views of the Napali coast. We had spinner dolphins put on a great show right in front of our boat and we spotted a couple of turtles when snorkeling. However the highlight of the trip was seeing one of the very endangered monk seals sunning itself on a remote Napali beach. The crew were very organized, they went out... More

This is our second time enjoying the south shore tour with Captain Tara. It is definitely high on our "must do" list whenever we are lucky enough to return to Kauai. Tara and her crew are so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. My 9-yr old son was a bit nervous at the beginning but Tara made sure everyone felt super comfortable... More

Went on a Whale tour at the end of the season. Right away we spotted a Momma and her baby. We stopped and watched them travel slowly along. A mic was put in the water and we listened to the male whales talking. We were educated on the whates habits. Very interesting and so glad we actually saw whales!

Despite a strong current, Cap'n Tara did a great job with the kids in the group. She stayed close to the kids, and provided them with a boogie board for flotation. At our first stop, it was nonstop turtles. It was a turtle swarm. At our second stop, there were lots of fishes and scary eels. We have to say... More

Two brothers, Nick & Elijah, took us out for a snorkel adventure. Full of interesting facts and witty jokes, I can assure you if you're interested in snorkelling in Kauai, book with these guys! Homemade sandwiches (with homemade bread) and homemade cookies were the icing on the cake of an excellent experience.

We began the trip by coming near to a pod of spinner dolphins, then swung by a lagoon, then on to a turtle crossing above some lava tubes: amazing. Captain Tara gave us lots of information about where to sit on the boat (little kids in the middle with their parent), everything we saw, conservation efforts, and the proper way... More

This is the best snorkel trip. The group is small so Tara is able to give a lot of attention to those on board. I was a little nervous about getting into the big navy seal raft at first but it was so easy to get on and off and much smoother than a larger boat tour. Tara was fantastic... More

Great guide, saw a bunch of whales, breach, slap, spout etc. Also saw spinner and bottle nose dolphins. The boat is kind of like a big raft, so you likely will get wet. I got sea sick, and so did another passenger, but it was worth it anyway. Only 10 people on the boat.
