it is a nice setting, however there are far better sunset views. Expect to spend a fair amount for drinks and appetizers....$14 four house wine. The entertainment was to begin at 6pm, delayed by 20 minutes.....and a little disappointing. On the positive side, lots of families with lots of kids here for Christmas.......so it was fun to see the excitement... More

The view is why we come here....we did not eat here but we came for drinks. We go here every trip to Kauai, usually for the hula show or just for the view. The drinks are rather expensive though. Lava flow is $14. Two adult drinks and one kid drink came to around $50, with a tip. A little pricey... More

Enjoy a casual dinner at the Grand Hyatt Kauai’s Seaview Terrace with a traditional torch-lighting ceremony, followed by live Hawaiian entertainment. For more of my travel tips, visit: examiner.com/travel-in-san-jose/michele-mccarthy

This was the complete package - tasty casual dining, pleasant open air setting with an ocean view, and music in the evenings (one guy with a guitar playing hawaiian music). We liked everything we got, especially the burger, the "boar pie" (kalua pork pizza), and the homemade cookie ice cream sandwiches. Seating is couches and low tables - some might... More

We had a couple drinks tasty, but expensive lava flows and enjoyed the show for what became a rather long two hours with breaks and assorted things going on. It's a stretch to refer to a spot that is pretty much wrapped up by 8pm to be called a night life spot. We also ate here one night the food... More

Last year we stayed at the Fairmont on the big island and went almost nightly to their excellent Luana Lounge. I was really excited to see that the Seaview Terrace looks almost identical. Beautiful view, comfy seating groups around cocktail tables. Well, appearance is where the similarity ends. The menu here is limited, unimaginative, uninspired. The food quality was fine... More

One of my favorite spots on earth because once we arrive at the hotel and sit on the terrace for a drink, I feel like I'm home. The view is fantastic and the sound of the ocean waves crashing with the glow from the tiki torches (we usually arrive in the evening) sets my travel-weary body at ease.

During our stay at the Grand Hyatt, the Seaview Terrace became one of our favorite, it not our favorite, hangout. The terrace offers an amazing view of the gardens and of the ocean. We probably have fifty photographs dedicated to the scenery from the terrace. In the mornings, the terrace offers a small bite to eat - which was preferrable... More

On 02-11-12 we went over to the Hyatt around 5 p. m. and got ourselves second row seats in front of the stage to watch the show. Each had a couple of Mai-Tai's, which were very good, and some pu-pu's for a snack. From Seaview terrace we watched the torch lighting ceremony, local music and dancing. Expensive. Entertainment (local) was... More
