Plenty of room; lots of tables. Friendly people. Lifeguards. Clean beach. Right across the street from Brennecke's Deli. Grab a sandwich and a beer and enjoy lunch on the beach.

Good parking and safe to swim & snorkel. It is a manned beach with a lifeguard on duty, which is hard to find on Kauai.

Family friendly beach with play ground and easy beach access. We were lucky enough to be there on a day that a huge turtle beached for a nap. We did some snorkeling. It was okay.

Just loved this beach. The shoreline was stunning. Lots of local families go here on the weekend. It's a great place to hang out. They have restroom facilities and barbeques. And the wild chickens that run around - so cute!

If you head out later in the evening or before sunrise you will see green turtles resting along the water's edge.

Pros: Close to resorts, easy access and unique beach. Great snorkeling. Cons: Not as beautiful as many other beaches on Kauai.

We went to this beach for a day and boy, we thoroughly enjoyed it as it was a hot 30 deg day, the water was warm and refreshing. Some of us snorkelled and saw some colourful fish but to top it off, we saw some turtles - certainly a highlight. highly recommended

Uncrowded beach with good snorkeling. Able to stand and walk pretty far out, but it does have a good number of rocks....so I'd recommend wearing water shoes if snorkeling. Not a lot of natural shade, if possible rent/bring your own shade structure/umbrella. Parking is available across the street.

This beach is set amongst a residential condo area not far from restaurants and shopping. The beach has a small picnic area, boogie board beach on one end and we got to see seals resting on one part of the beach. Awesome.

My husband and I headed to Poipu Beach for snorkeling on a Sunday morning. That morning there was not many people there, but typically Poipu is pretty busy. We headed straight for the water (lifeguard section). Poipu Beach is unique because it has 2 swimming areas. One is lifeguarded and one is not. Sand divides the 2 swimming areas. When... More
