Can catch large sea turtles here - swimming, snorkeling is great here! It can get busy and hard to find parking so probably best to stay here and walk to beach.

The snorkeling is great on either side of the central beach spot. The one which has a sign post stating no water sports beyond this point was really amazing for snorkeling. They do have restrooms, showers and Brenecekkes for food. There is plenty of parking.

Poipu Beach Park is a nice place to spend the day on the South Shore of Kauai. We were there on Sunday and were lots of tourists and locals enjoying the nice weather. We tried several beaches for snorkeling and found that staying close to our condo and swimming at Poipu Beach was just as good as other places.

The parking was easy and the beach right there. Restrooms are closed(looks like forever ), they have portable toilets. The sand is great, but the beach has lots of rocks in it and you need to find a place with more sand than rock to go in. The undertow is very manageable. Great beach and good water, Lifeguards, coered picknic places. Free parking in 2 lots. small otfills fast. Big lot on right hand side of road blocked by shrubs has lots of room. Surfers off to the right of the beach in non lifeguard area.
