The only real negative about this adventure is that it takes over 3 hours to deliver 15 minutes of rappeling at 2 different waterfalls (whose heights are significantly exaggerated). However, a significant part of that time is spent on safety briefings and practicing with your gear - which is a smart investment. Auntie Tania and her crew run a very... More

Let me begin by saying that I booked Hawaiian Dundee for my adrenalin junkee daughter. I was leery at first but what an outstanding experience from start to finish. It really is quite amazing how they train you and guide you from start to finish to ensure safety and fun. My daughter, of course, did the 60 foot waterfall not... More

We had an incredible time and they do a fantastic job! Rapelling down the dry wall for practice, then the 30 ft waterfall, and finally the 60 ft waterfall, was a fantastic experience. The entire team and Hawaiian Dundee himself are so friendly, and care so much about our safety. They take such pride in what they do, and the... More

When in your life do you get to float down irrigation canals in paradise? It was a great trip with the added bonus of having a very funny guide. Make sure you have swim shoes and bug spray. The mosquitos were hungry when we were there in August. The ride out to the irrigation canals is bumpy after you get... More

If you ever visit Kauai this is a must do. It was a great experience and the guides made it even better. I read the comments on tripadvisor and decided to join the adventure along with my son and cousins. Even if you do not have kayaking experience you will have a nice ride in the river. If you are... I took this Island Adventure activity with my husband and my daughters who are 16 and 18. The Kayak is nice, just long enough with nice scenery. Our guide shared the history of the river along the way. The rappel is exciting. This group is very conscious about safety and they do a great job to prepare you for rappelling.... More

Our family did the "this ain't no zipline" tour this week. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Auntie Tanya, Paa, and Guy were wonderful with our kiddos--Paa was so good to go tandem down the training run and talk my younger kiddos through their first rappelling experience. I'm sure we'll be back when my younger kiddos... More

My family had an awesome time on the wet rappel. Even though we each took on a few bumps and bruises, we loved it! Even me a month after meniscus surgery on my 46-year old knee! the guides were totally safety conscious, and they were informative about the island and its culture and natural habitats. The Kayak trip was a... More

A perfect adventure to ring in my 40th year! Our guides on the Hawaiian Dundee were genuine and fun. It was super scary backing off a 60 ft waterfall but they gave us opportunities to practice in progressively harder settings and kept cheering us on! I felt like they really wanted us all to be successful. We loved this experience!

I did the Hawaiian Dundee tour and it ended up being so-so. For someone with no climbing or rappelling experience the trip is probably a once in a lifetime experience and amazing. For someone with climbing or rappelling experience the day seems very slow. The majority of the participants have no to zero experience rappelling so the safety briefing and... More
