An OK Show - Certainly not the Best

Over the years I have been to a number of luau's on the island of Kauai, as well as luaus on Oahu and Maui. If I take just Kauai luaus this was a disappointment. The food portion of the luau was going to Kukui's restaurant and having a "luau meal." Mind you the food was excellent but it was not... More

Really heart felt and a real tribute to the Polynesian culture. Smaller then many other shows we have been to but made it more personal. Not a bad seat in the house. We really enjoyed it. Wallach was great and very accommodating. Thank u. Aloha

This was an interesting evening. My expectations were not very high as all other luaus were sold out on this evening - that should have been my first clue. My wife & I waited while the concierge (the ONLY place to get your ticket for dinner) finished up with a phone call before assisting us - which was annoying since... More

I booked the Hawaii Alive Luau online prior to our departure, easy to book and guarantee your seats ahead of time. The show is smaller than the Polynesian Culture Center in Oahu, but it was still a nice way to spend an evening with my wife. The music and dancers were all great!!!

This is on the campus of the Marriott in Lihue. It was not the traditional luau on the beach. It was a smaller amount of people attending than what I have heard of. You have your dinner in the adjoining restaurant and then walk over to see the show. It was very nice and the dancers were professional. The fire... More

The owner came to our resort to entice us to attend. I had very high hopes for this show based on what I heard. While the dancers and fire throwers were good, it was not what I would categorize as a Hawaiian luau. it was done in a courtyard area in the Marriott. If I am lucky enough to make... More

Definitely not worth $50 a ticket. The dancers were stiff and did not seem to enjoy the performance. We were pretty bored.

You have the option, show with or without dinner. By all means, see the show but skip the horrible dinner. Neither my husband or I ate the dinner served at poolside prior to the show. We left our food nearly untouched and went to Duke's. We saw another couple from the Luau dinner at Dukes as well. We were able... More

We saw three Luaus and each was different and great. This Luau used a family type show handed down from generations. They included adult hula dancers and younger hula dancers. The fire twirling team was the best since they used several guys.
