It was raining so the Luau was relocated away from the beach to an undercover pavilion with no view or ventilation. It was very hot and steamy and there was only a small stage and the entire area was very cramped. The performances by the dancers and the host were reasonably good though. Food was buffet style and was not... More

I live on Kauai and have frequent visitors. I love to show off our paradise so I always take my visitors to Hawaii Alive Luau. In all the times Ive seen it, it remains my favorite. My guests always have a great time and make it a point to meet the dancers afterward. This is no canned Luau, these are... More

My family, ranging from ages 14 to 70, went to the performance, not a dinner. It was held at the Marriott. All six of us (cost of +- $235) had very similar feelings about the performance. It felt like we were at one of my daughters recitals. The host wasted the first 30 minutes asking where audience members were from,... More

At Marriott Resort property - Performer to audience ratio excellent. Been to a number of Luaus over the years. This one was probably the best. Audience of about only 150 people. Theater style seating good too. We were in last row and were only maybe 30 feet away. Excellent view. Only downside: I think it was an insult to the... More

Never been to Lihue, Kaua'i. Our family have vacationed to Maui, Oahu, Lanai, Kona, Tahiti, South Pacific Islands and Florida. We've seen our shares of luaus. Before we arrived from Southern California to Lihue. We contacted Wallis 2 weeks prior to reserved for the luau show on Monday, June 29. Wallis was so accommodating by reserving VIP seating for our... More

Wow what a treat! I've been to the big luaus and always felt herded. The food and service here were excellent. I like being served dinner in an upscale resort environment. Very friendly and Aloha servers. I've never liked being in line at a buffet at the large luaus. I find it gross. The show was just as promised-- intimate... More

This luau is family operated. Hula has been a family tradition for generations and they have a deep connection to Kauai. Wallis is a great host and entertainer! So many varieties of hula! The venue is smaller, so we were very close to the dancers. We had a great time! Would recommend and would go back!

Lots to see and do before the show and we could have stayed longer but the show started. When it did it was great. Fire and light, music and food. everything a Luau should be!

Over the years I have been to a number of luau's on the island of Kauai, as well as luaus on Oahu and Maui. If I take just Kauai luaus this was a disappointment. The food portion of the luau was going to Kukui's restaurant and having a "luau meal." Mind you the food was excellent but it was not... More

Really heart felt and a real tribute to the Polynesian culture. Smaller then many other shows we have been to but made it more personal. Not a bad seat in the house. We really enjoyed it. Wallach was great and very accommodating. Thank u. Aloha
