If you like a nice sandy beach that doesn't require reef shoes this is the place for you ! In a great location in Lihue with lots of room for everyone and a lot of food and drink options in close proximity. Not great for snorkeling since the bottom is all sand but at least you don't have to worry... More

This is a great place to relax. A quiet sheltered beach with lots of great eateries within metres of the beach. we also learned to surf here too, or you can try stand up paddle boarding or kayaking if you prefer.

Many beaches are in front of lovely resorts and because all beaches are public, no worries to sit and enjoy!

A peaceful little beach with Duke's bar just behind for food and drinks. Great white sand and sandy bottomed beach.

Beautiful scenery, sand and cool rock formations. Water was amazing. Great for swimming and surfing both body and board.

Very nice area to just kick back and you may see a big cruise ship come into port .. all sorts of places to eat here and small shops to buy... More

We did metal detecting here and found a lot of pennies and had a lot of laughs. It is easy to get to and has nice sand.

If you are staying near Lihue and need to watch a sporting event, this smaller Kalapaki Joes is good. We went at happy hour and beers were inexpensive and fish tacos $3 each. I ordered the coconut shrimp and they were very good. Friendly servers and nice people. You can go to Costco across the way after, shop at Macy's... More

Great beach with plenty of sand, sun and water sports. Great for paddle boarding, tanning or volleyball. Not-so-great for snorkelling.

This is a great beach to spend the day. Good swimming, paddle boarding, etc. You can rent whatever you need. Duke's restaurant is close by for a take-out lunch or eat-in. We enjoy eating fish and chips on the beach. The Marriott has some fun shops.
