This is a very popular beach so there's a lot of people. You can rent pretty much anything and there's hotels and restaurants and shops in walking distance. So if you're looking for a secluded beach this is not the beach for you haha. It was a really nice beach and we enjoyed it a lot!

We loved everything about the beach. We had to walk maybe 50 feet from our room to the beach. It was clean and never busy

A perfect little cove, close to shops and right outside the gorgeous Marriot. Go inside and check out the beautiful lagoons and waterfalls.

If you have a short time to waste in or near Lihue, or some time to kill before you catch your flight, this beach is perfect. It's great even for extended stays, as you feel like you're on a secluded beach, though Costco is 5 minutes away, and the airport is 5 minutes the other direction, though you'd NEVER know... More

We walked along the beach after having dinner at the Kalapaki Beach Hut. The Marriott Resort is right there, so the beach is quite nice and its on a bay, so its a protected area.

I loved this beach! It backs right up to a couple resorts so there are a lot of restaurants to choose from and a paved sidewalk. We had lunch at Duke's, which was very good, and the cheapest lunch we had during our entire vacation. The view was great, too, because we could watch planes come in and out of... More

We stayed at the Banyon Harbor across the street, and liked that the beach wasn't over crowded. There is a rental shop were you can rent surf boards and paddle boards as well as umbrellas and loungers. There are restaurants and lots of good shopping near buy( ABC store) for anything that you may have forgot. We took a cooler full of... More

The beach is very well maintained, large enough so it's not very congested, and is great for relaxing. No snorkeling opportunities though.
