To say beautiful beach in Hawaii just does not seem to be enough but what can you say. This beach is in front of the Marroitt resort and it seems the water goes down a bit faster than some other beaches.

My wife and I had about two hours to kill before we went on a tour. Since It was so sunny, we opted for a beach somewhat near us: Kalapaki Beach. Right in front of the beautiful Marriott Hotel, we placed our blankets down on the soft grass and laid down to get some sun. After a while I went... More

This is a great beach located in front of the Marriott Resort. It has a nice sandy beach. Note all beaches in Hawaii are public beaches. Given the fact that it is located in front of the Marriott Resort it does not lend itself to a romantic private beach. You do have access to a nice beach bar and restaurants... More

Kalapaki beach at the Kauai Marriott resort is a very nice, calm beach with volleyball and all kinds of water activities accessible. Very clean beach kept up by the hotel (all beaches in Hawaii are public) with a very large amount of lounge chairs for hotel guests to use. Gentle waves good for smaller children.

This beach was too dangerous for swimming or snorkeling in November. Our resort was next to this State Park, and it was difficult to even wade. The view of the surf and mountains is spectacular. A great place to take photos and sunbathe, but didn't seem very safe for swimming.

Volleyball courts take up a lot of space, most of the beach is used by the resort but locals can hang out. Just don't expect to get a lounge chair unless you have a marriot bracelet.

It is adjacent to the Marriott where we stayed a few years ago. This beach has everything. Great restaurants nearby, facilities, shelter from high surf, rental equipment. Just a wonderful place to spend the day if your bumming.

We loved this beach as it was walking distance to our ship, Pride of America. It was perfect because we had to be onboard by 1:30 and we could still get in some beach time. The beach has a grassy area behind the sand beach. There is some shade to get out of the heat. The view is wonderful as... More

My kids wanted to go boogie boarding. Perfect size waves. I didn't have to worry about them getting pummeled. Also good for little ones. There is a little creek that runs into the ocean and areas where the waves aren't big at all.

Kalapaki Beach is the beach near the Marriott, Lihue. Like every other beach on Kauai, it’s magnificent. There are mountains to your right, which are lush and majestic. My family enjoyed hanging out at Kalakapi on the last day of our trip. The stars and the moon light on the water were so very beautiful. Shopping is close by. The... More
