This was a great stop on our trip! I personally am so terrified of driving on mountainous roads and this was not a bad drive at all. The last mile goes up to the top and starts getting curvy but it was totally doable! Beautiful view with great photo opportunities. Parking is limited but most people leave after about 10... More

I pass this beautiful view at least twice a day being that my house is in the area. The county in recent years have made positive improvements to allow a better and safer viewing area for all. I recommend going after a rainy day to see its full beauty.

The Wailua Falls drops 80 ft down in the glorious hills of Kauai. and is off the roadside for everyone to see. Drive up Ma'alo Rd roughly 4 miles from the main highway 56 about 5 minutes to the road from Lihue. about a 10 minute trip do to the windy narrow paved road. The falls were in the opening... More

Love to see the falls and all the beauty.... just wish we could hike down and be in it. We saw people go down, just didnt want to risk the potential harm.

Beautiful falls but you'll only get a decent side view unless you hike down to the bottom. There are plenty of posted signs advising you not to but lots of people do it anyway. There is a steep trail right near the viewing area and a less steep trail down the road about 1/4 mile. It's a bit of a... More

If you are on Kauai, you must visit the falls. Our view from the visitor area was nice, but I believe a helicopter flight view would have been breathtaking

Short drive up to falls from the main road. Went up in early morning to beat the traffic. Small parking area. Awesome double waterfall, breathtaking! Local man selling handcrafted jewelry in parking lot. Nice quick visit for pictures.

This is a popular hike, not very long, good for families. You do need to be able to get up and down hills, there are a few. If you are looking for a workout, this is not it. If you want a casual stroll, with great scenery, this could be it. If you want a workout, head farther up the... More
