My husband is a retired airline captain and also has been helicopter qualified in past years. He has always been reticent about our taking a helicopter tour, but after reading about the gentleman who started this company, he felt comfortable enough for us to do it. It was super! Our pilot (Brian) was personable, skilled and went out of his... More

First time in a helicopter for both of us. Couldn't believe how smooth it was. Buffy was great with her commentary, giving us a good background of the island. There were 5 on our tour and she was careful to make sure she circled around so that everyone got a great view of the waterfalls, canyons and coastline. We went... More

First Time on a Helicopter. Smooth ride, great commentary, Even with six passengers we were able to see everything. Great check-in and pilot. The only way to see the Napoli coast.

I have never been on a helicopter before and was a little apprehensive. However once there it was no problem. the staff is friendly and very good at explaining all the safety aspects. From take off to landing it was breath taking experience. The music played on the headsets was so relaxing and made the experience even more special. Buffy... More

You can't see the island any other way. I was nervous as I normally get motion sickness and I am scared of amusement park rides but the pilot Brian was amazing! I did my research on several companies and their safety records before booking with Safari. The views are unbelievable and stunning no way else to see the island. The... More

Did u know 80% of Kauai is inaccessible by car due to lack of roads? Well I didn't, until I took my first ever helicopter ride! You'll see the island like you will never will if u stayed on land. Landscape is beautiful and breathtaking. The Safari helicopter has large windows for awesome viewing and picture taking. I wasn't scared... More

We were looking forward to this helicopter tour as a highlight of our Kauai vacation. Safari Helicopters ended up ruining the end of our trip, due to their lack of communication in regards to canceling. In order to arrive on time, we left the beach early, showered, changed into the suggested dark clothing, drove to airport, returned the rental car.... More

We are very sorry that their last several hours of their vacation was disrupted due to weather conditions which are beyond our control. Weather changes very rapidly in a tropical environment and quite often. At the time of their flight, the tower would not allow any flights under visual conditions. However, 30 minutes later, flights were released. Safety is our... More

This was my first time in a helicopter, I was pleasantly surprised how smooth it was. The views were incredible, we went along the coastline then inland to see the waterfalls and mountains. It's true what they say you need to see Kauai by air or sea. Safari staff were friendly and our pilot was great, pays to book directly... More

Given most of Kauai is hard to get to it makes sense to take a helicopter ride. We stayed in Hanalei and didn't take the more expensive option from Princeville, it was worth driving back to Lihue given the online deal we got. All staff were friendly, they responded to my email quickly, Sherril was one of the funniest people... More

We have looked into replacing our cameras with the Go-Pro cameras but have chosen not to for the following reasons. The shutter that Go-Pro uses produces a waivery image referred to as “jello cam” when recording at the airspeeds flown during a tour flight. Also, there is no switching system available for the Go-Pro for using multiple cameras to feed... More

This was our first time to Kauai and it was highly recommended to do a heli tour to have a better idea of the island. Our pilot was Paul. Very professional, smooth and I felt right at ease. The views are spectacular. You come right up to the clifs and waterfalls and have a fabulous view of the Na Pali... More
