We were a little bit apprehensive about taking this tour because my wife easily gets motion sickness and I'm afraid of heights. We shouldn't have worried. Our pilot, Jody, is a retired teacher and former helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He had a great sense of humor and was very informative. The views from the helicopter were magnificent...the Nepali Coast and... More

Our flight with Island helicopters was a great experience! Words can not describe the views you are going to get. The pilot was really friendly you could ask him anything. He had many years of experience. We were lucky enough to sit in front in the cockpit which are the best seats in the house. The flight was almost an... More

Started out with last Minute call to see if we could get on that day as there was rain coming next day and we wanted to get trip done. They were so nice. They fit me in and we got a 2pm depart. What a great trip, what a great pilot . Only problem is that i was in the... More

Attempting to book a trip for four of us, I called Island Helicopters in advance due to some inconsistencies on their website. Although there is a 250 lb. per person weight limit (without incurring the cost of an additional seat, a couple is only allowed to weigh 445 lbs. That's OK, I found another service to take our money and... More

The owner and manager were in the office when you called yesterday. We are sorry you yelled at our reservationist and hung up as she tried to explain our policy and your options for a tour. You could have chartered the helicopter, but you hung up on us before a manager could explain our policy. If we are unable to... More

I tried to book a flight with Island but was blocked at every turn. Scheduling was a problem. The person on the phone was unhelpful. When asked about our weights she wanted us to come in and get weighed and possibly buy an extra seat. She told us the combined limit and we didn't exceed it. But she wouldn't book... More

I am sorry, but this is a very unfair review. We remember your telephone conversation well. When asked your weights over the telephone, you were very hesitant to answer until we informed you that it was required by FAA, and all helicopter companies have weight limits or passengers may need to purchase an extra seat. You then said your combined... More

My friends and I (were on our 50th birthday adventure to Hawaii) did a lot of research before deciding on Island Helicopters and we were not disappointed. There were 3 of us, I sat by the window behind Isaac, our pilot, one of the girls was right beside me and the other was in the front by the window. We... More

We had a great ride. Our pilot was a native hawaiian that lived on the island and very experienced. It is a six seat helicopter with large windows so there wasn't a bad seat to see from or take pictures. It was my first helicopter and it won't be my last. we didn't think the price was bad at all... If you are in Kaua'i, you MUST take a helicopter tour. It is breathtakingly beautiful and a once-in-a-lifetime experience (for me, at least!). JD, our pilot, is a former military helicopter pilot and former teacher. The two make for a great tour guide! One bit of advice - don't sit in the middle at the back. My view was restricted... More

My wife and I are on a vacation in Kauai and we thought it would be a good idea to see the relatively small island by air. We researched the many flight companies on Kauai, not the least of which resources was Trip Advisor, and ended up booking our flight with Island Helicopters. We elected an early-morning flight so we... More

After reading a few reviews, I was hesitant and afraid of I not having a "good seat". The helicopter is two rows, 3 people in the front (one of them the pilot) and 4 people in the back. I sat next to the window behind the pilot. I regret not remembering his name as he was wonderful and knowledgeable. It... More
