Stopped here on a whim, it was great. Signed up for the rum tasting and tried different rums. Next door is a souvenir shop and you can buy what you tasted. The rum is good!

Stopped by the Koloa Rum Company, not sure what to expect. What a treat! Lovely tasting room (think Napa Valley), gorgeous property, upscale gift shop. And the rums! Wow. Great demonstration and would have bought several bottles to bring home if we we're already at our weight limit.

Good rums, only tasting room we've run across. Staff was very friendly. Nice setting next to Gaylord's on ranch property. Worth a stop on the way into Lihue town. Although we didn't take it, there is a train ride around the property that the little tykes might enjoy.

This was a fun rum tasting for the adults after doing the plantation train tour with the kids on the grounds. The tasting room was clean and well kept. The host gave a detailed history of the rum company, sugar cane production and how they make their rums and built the company. We were served a taste of 4 different... More

We came here for the first time when this place first opened up and we stopped back on this trip. The rum tastings are free and you get to try four different varieties. I especially liked the coconut. The rum cake they served at the end was also really tasty. Can't wait to try the rums once they have gone... More

We stopped on a whim while driving to the Wimea Canyon. The taster was very friendly and our group was fun. All of the rum we tasted was excellent, but our favorites were the Spiced Rum and Coconut Rum. We took a bottle of each home with us in our checked baggage. When we arrived back in the states, we... Loved this excursion. We thought we would visit the rum store and then take the train tour. The day we were there the train had rolled off the tracks. We decided to focus on the rum tasting. Great opportunity to taste a variety of rums. We were shown how to layer the rum to make it look like a mai... More

Not enough rum to catch a buzz but it is free. You can buy the small bottles to take on the plane home (yes, it is allowed because we did it). Nice property to walk around. Wish we had time to take the train and watch the show.
