The cashier at the Harley store sent us here, what a treat!! They have rum sampling, rum for sale, and a gift shop. The cashier was one of the highlights of our trip.

The bartender was fun and seemed to enjoy his job. I purchased some spiced rum as a gift. I also bought the bubble wrap type protector. It was a worthy $2 investment to protect a $35 bottle of rum. Also, the Koloa rum company hat is great quality.

I've had better/more educational booze experiences from going to a bar. Was hoping to see them turning sugar cane into rum since it seemed like an actual tour. It isn't. I wouldn't plan this as a rainy day activity since the tasting is all of 10? Minutes? Yay! Then I get to drive back to my hotel 15 minutes away... More

We went to the rum tasting room at Koloa Rum Co. expecting to just stand there & have a variety of rums poured into a shot glass. Instead we had a very entertaining host who made a point of learning all of our names, giving us shot glasses of rum, tell us about the manufacturing of rum & a hands... More

Our last day on Kauai it down-poured aaaalll day. Since pretty much everything to do in Hawaii is outside, we stopped here to burn some time. It was pretty busy (everyone else had the same rainy day thought). The tasting only lasted about 10 min but was enjoyable. You get to try 4 different kinds of rum in tiny shots... More

Beautiful grounds and nice (but $$$ pricey) store. Waited 45 minutes for the rum tasting which was all good, just way too rushed and very tiny tastes. We stood up at the bar and had tasted of 3 things. Nice peeps; However, we went to the rum factory in St. Croix and it was so much better. No drinks or... More

We had read that this was a tour with a tasting, and were disappointed to get there and find a tourist trap like place with a gift shop that you stand in and wait for someone to take you into a side room to taste rum. Maybe it would have been interesting to taste and hear more, but so me... More

This place is fantastic. You MUST sign up to go into the tasting room. The bartenders are super nice & well informed. The rum cake is crazy delicious. We ended up going home with the rum punch, the mai tai mix, coconut, spice & dark rums, 2 t-shirts plus a couple of rum cakes. Yummy!

We went to Koloa Rum Company and enjoyed their rum tasting. They have more than 4 types of rum, but they limit the tasting to 4, probably for liability reasons. Koloa Rum Company is a very young operation (about 5 years), so they have no aged rum. Even so, they had some tasty selections. Our favorite was the coconut rum.... More
