This is a theatrical luau presentation. It is typical luau food and drinks. Great show that tells the story of the Tahitians coming to the Hawaiian islands.

This was first class from the moment we arrived! We were greeted with a beautiful flower lei and taken to our table at Gaylord's Restaurant. We were greeted with a glass of champagne to start our four course meal. We chose this package so we could have a private family dinner. After dinner, we were taken down the path led... More

The show story line and talent in this show is a lasting memory. The fire dance was spectacular. The food was average and not the star of the night. The buffet line moved quickly and it was split so that a large number of people moved thru in a short period of time. The preshow drinks and shopping experience was... More

Our family of 12 recently went to this luau for an 89th birthday celebration. The show was lovely, the dancers great. BUT, the food was terrible. The wait service was bad too. The venue is huge. no intimacy at all. We would only recommend this if you could purchase tickets for the show only.

We loved the energy and talent of this show! It's definitely not your average luau, that's for sure. Firedancing, hula, a good story, and good food.

We were offered the opportunity to go to this luau by the concierge at our hotel in Kapaa. I've been to island dance shows in other Pacific Islands and this one really suffered by comparison. The venue was huge. There must have been somewhere around 750 people there. The staff did the best they could to keep people fed and... More

This is the only luau I have been to, so I can't compare it with any others. We loved the entire experience! We never waited more than a few minutes in line for drinks and there were booths to walk around and look at prior to dinner starting. The food was pretty good, and they were on the ball re-filling... I've lived on Kauai for nearly a year and Lūau Kalamakū is my favorite by far... They have an incredible team that makes you feel like Ohana (family).
