I really enjoyed my visit to the Smith Family Garden. The grounds are very beautiful and stocked with various plant and wildlife. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. I also enjoyed the show after dinner. I would recommend Smith's to anyone who would like to experience a traditional Hawaiian Luau.

The grounds where the luau is held are beautiful and a tram takes you around the grounds to introduce you to vegetation and animals. I enjoyed learning about the cooking of the pig in the imu. The food was good, but not great, offering a variety of items including traditional foods such as poi, sweet potato, and roasted pig, to... More

Unless you are over the age of 60 or under the age of 5, you will not enjoy this luau. This was a waste of money and time that I would have much rather spent doing something else on the island. The meal was not good (the pork was the only think that was good) and the show was lame.... More

We researched several luau's and we were happy choosing this one. While there were a lot of people - they handled everyone well. the grounds were gorgeous and well kept, the food was amazing and plentiful and we enjoyed the dances.

The gardens were beautiful. Definitely worth a walk around. The food was fantastic with lots of variety. It was a very large crowd but it was well organized. The show could use some improvement but it was a good cultural experience if it is your first time to the islands. Grab your seats for dinner and the show early. And... More

While this wasn't the best luau in Hawaii we have done it is definitely worth the money. The food was excellent and while the luau show was a bit less than authentic in my opinion, it is far better than what some hotels on other islands put on. The best feature of the luau is the auditorium-style seating for the... More

Its big, its loud, its crowded. Its a well tuned machine like a mini Disney land of exploited Hawaiian culture. So it wasn't my thing. I would have preferred a smaller engagement not with hundreds of people and one with less Hollywood theatrics and authentic costume and dance. This felt contrived and far from authentic. They move the crowds in... More

Okay- so for how much you pay for this it is NOT WORTH THE MONEY. The gardens are gorgeous, just beautiful- but the whole island is beautiful. It would be a gorgeous place to rent out for a private party or gathering. The food was decent, not completely awesome, but okay- the drinks were really watered down so don't get... More

We go to Hawaii nearly every year and have been to a number of luau's. Clearly these are tourist events and should be approached with that point of view. Our favorite has been the Old Lahina Luau on Maui. With that in mind I would rate this one only 3 stars. If you have never been to a luau you... More

Read, and was told by many that this luau is the best. I figured if I was going to go to a luau it should be with the best. They drove us around the grounds, which are very nice. We really enjoyed the food and Mai Tai's. The show was a little cheesy but not bad. Overall I think we... More
