There aren't enough words to describe the food and the show. The dancers were unbelievable. My Mother-in-law commented she had been to a Luau at one of the resorts and said the Smith Family show was head and shoulders above the rest. We had the best time and when I return I'll go again.

My boyfriend and I were a little skeptical after parting with what we considered to be a fair amount of cash for this, but we were very pleasantly surprised and the entire Luau experience surpassed our expectations ten fold. As soon as we arrived we were presented with shell lei and we boarded a tram which took us on a... More

Great hosts, great food and a fantastic show come together to make a wonderful family-friendly experience. PS. The bar is hosted.

Smith Family? Luau? Funny name for a Hawaiian experience but my family of 4 enjoyed are evening there. The food was quite tasty (loved the kalua pork). Drinks were o.k. The imo ceremony was fun and the grounds were beautiful. The dancers definitely range in skill from very good dancers to some who are merely adequate, but I'm in Kauai... More

This Luau was recommended by friends who visited Kauai and I can say that it did not disappoint. From the Enu to the actual serving of the food (the pig and rice pudding were amazing!) to the show (and the fact that Smith is a third generation family owned business), the Smith luau was a truly fun and enjoyable way... My family and friends attended the Smith Luau in Kauai. Food was great but needs much improvement on the show. It was very slow and the most boring Luau show I've ever seen. You want excitement after eating a great meal and it didn't do that at all.

We are locals living on Oahu and have seen and eaten at Paradise Cove, and PCC Polynesian Culture Center in Laie and you know what...I loved this Luau the best...maybe I'm biased because they give us locals Kamaaina discount which really saved us $$$ but the food was ONO...(delicious) and no Luau is going to give you a full bar... I wish we had budgeted more time to spend wandering the gardens. The landscape was gorgeous. This being our first luau, I can't compare as some of the other reviewers. I thought the Imu ceromony was interesting and informative. The dinner was ok. We got a good seat near the stage and had a good time with the music and... More

After seeing the reviews me and my wife had the best expectations about the Luau and the dinner. Hardly the disappointment could be bigger. Everything starts in the moment you step in the Garden, it seems that you are some kind of cheap Disneyland where you have to scream "Alohaaaaaaa" and it looks like you went back in elementary school.... The food was AMAZING and the ambience was great. Hearing about all of the family history and actual family members working there helped to explain why everyone there seemed to truly care about the experience we had. They took pride in their work because it is their heritage they are sharing. It did not feel "corporate" like some of the... More
