We have been coming to Hawaii for several years now and have seen countless luau's on the various islands of Hawaii. This one is a good production and probably the best on Kauai. I would highly recommend it and the food wasn't bad either. We definitely didn't leave hungry, but don't expect much from the alcohol served. The show is... More

This is the best luau for a family. Tropical tram ride, exotic birds, imu up close, delicious food, lovely grounds, casual atmosphere, great entertainment and top quality show.

The grounds were beautiful! The food was good especially the pig cooked in the ground. It was so good, this is one pulled pork I would never put BBQ sauce on. The show included many different cultures that had come to Hawaii, very good show.

From the guided tour of the beautiful grounds (with all of their beautiful wildlife and plants/flowers) to the amazing dinner and show, it truly was a great experience. The show had beautiful dancers and was very entertaining. The only downside to the show was the extremely poor showing of the Chinese dragon dance. There has got to be either a... More

We love Hawaii and, as such, we visit every summer. Our favorite island is Kauai, but we have been to Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island. We do different activities every trip, except for our one "must-do" every single trip, the luau! We have done all of the other luaus in Kauai on previous trips except for Smith's so this... More

The Smith Family Luau was lots of fun. Before dinner you took a guided tram and had the opportunity to go around the grounds which had fantastic flowers, peacocks and the local chickens and roosters. The festivities included some explanations of the luau ritual. The food was good and plentiful and the tables had plenty of room. Things were very... More

The gardens at the Smith Family Garden Luau are beautiful. Lots of peacocks, chickens and roosters. The food at the Luau was fantastic. Best pork and mahi mahi around. Papaya seed salad dressing excellent. Show was pretty good.

I've been to several luaus on Oahu, Maui, the Big Island....but the Smith Family Luau was freaking amazing!! The 30 acre botanical gardens were very beautiful, plus we were greeted by beautiful peacocks with full plummage displaying their colors. There was a bus that picked us up from the Kauai Beach Resort where we were staying at, thus no need... More

Booked this luau online and received a discount. We arrived at approx. 5:00 in the evening. They gave everyone a shell lei, took the group picture and ushered us to the tram. Take the tram ride around the Grotto. The grounds are truly magnificent. There is a narration by the driver. We got dropped off by the Imu Pit. Had... More

We visited with my brothers family and were a party of 8. We enjoyed the beautiful grounds, the emu ceremony and the experience of the whole evening. The food was wonderful and the mai tais flowing. The show was outstanding and very enjoyable for the whole family. Absolutely recommend going and making reservations. Can't wait to return again.
