You can't go wrong with Smith's Luau. I live on Kauai and have been to many Luau's here and on other Hawaiian Islands and Smith's top them all. Make sure you come early so you will have time to tour their Botanical garden or better yet come real early and take their Boat trip up the Wailua River to the... More

This was an interesting evening. The plantation offers a Hawaiian cultural experience. First, we greeted with a Hawaiian girl and guy at the entrance to the grounds. They gave each guest a shell lay. That put everyone in the Hawaiian Spirit. We then travel around the ground, which a breath-takingly beautiful. next, we gathered a around a pit where they... More

First, I will say that I have only been to one other Luau (Old Lahaina Luau in Maui), so I don't have lots to compare it to. The grounds and setting here are incredible. Just gorgeous. The luau itself was well-organized, and the food was delicious (in particular, the teriyaki beef, the lomi lomi salmon, the namasu (sp) salad, and... More

My husband and 3 children attended our first Luau here and it was a lovely evening. The host really made it feel very warm and welcoming. The grounds are lovely. Food and entertainment just great. Our concierge at the Waipouli Beach Resort recommended it and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

This was our first time here and it was great! The grounds are very nice with a large variety of plants. The food was excellent and free drinks are always great! The show after dinner started out great but kind of drug on. Maybe we were just a little tired though. The covering at the show was nice so we... More

Excellent tour, food, music and dance! The Smith family put on a well-organized event that moves everyone smoothly along from interesting tour to delicious buffet and free drinks; and from enjoyable music in the dining room to awesome music and dance in the amphitheater!

I've been to other luaus, but this one was really well organized. Walking around the gardens was incredible. The wildlife were especially pretty. My family wasn't really impressed with the dancing part of the luau- we only really enjoyed the Haka. Lots of food, some of it a bit interesting, but pretty okay for a family.

My husband and I attended a luau at Smith Family Garden on our recent vacation in Hawaii. Booking online was easy. The family was friendly, especially the host; he was pretty funny too. The grounds are just stunning; if you take the tram tour, you get some education on the flora and fauna of the garden. The Imu ceremony was... More
