Came across this shop by accident. Could not wait to go back. The batiks are truly amazing, a very large selection to choose from in every color. The employees were very helpful. If your luggage is already full, just send everything back in a flat rate USP shipping box.

A giant Mahalo nui loa to Faith who made a fantastic custom aloha shirt for my husband in three days, the front matches perfectly and the front pocket is almost invisible, great value also! He was so pleased that he ordered more! Can you even imagine a male spending 2 hours voluntarily in a fabric store? if you are a... More

These folks have a terrific selection of fabric, and make great aloha shirts to order at reasonable prices. Personally, I have about a dozen of them. My gripe is that they won't let customers use the restroom, and there's nowhere else to go (except maybe in the bushes around back). Their uncooperative attitude in this regard will keep me from... This is always my first stop! I mail home a box stuffed with fabric every time we visit. I have been in the store when it is packed with shoppers and quilters and when there was only a handful, the ladies are always ready to be extremely helpful. They are very knowledgable about the fabrics they carry and the projects... More

This is a wonderful store. They have an amazing selection of patterns and items made locally at fair prices. It really makes it difficult to decide what to purchase.

We never go anywhere without looking for the quilt shops. This is a nice little shop with a good selection of fabrics. They even let you take pictures inside which most quilt shops do not allow.

We found this wonderful place by a stroke of good fortune. The ladies that work at Kapaia are so helpful and caring. They do things, "from the heart," and you feel that from the moment you step through the door. There are so many fabrics to choose from and they offer such good prices! Thanks to the incredible ladies at... More

American girl muumuu dresses in Hawaiian fabrics made by a local woman are sure to please. Bark cloth, Hawaiian theme fabrics, and batiks abound. Also, patterns reflecting island vibe. Big porch for the non quilters to wait.

Row upon row of batiks, sashiko patterns galore, traditional Hawaiian prints and needlework supplies galore. Warm friendly staff who are fine answering questions and listening to your creative ideas! Also learned about the "Hawaiian" way of hand quilting. I was told it was not the size of the stitch that was important ... Once you choose a stitch length be... More

Anyone who likes to sew will be in Heaven! I love to be inspired and see completed projects displayed that I can make from a pattern. This store has it! Lots of beautiful Hawaiian prints, quilts and patterns. Echoing what other reviews said, the staff let me take pictures and were so friendly that I kept wanting to visit them... More
