We followed Trip Advisor Advice to Kapaia Stitchery. They mostly sell fabric. You could go into JoAnne Fabrics and see the same stuff. Spend your time looking at the unique Kauai made stuff unless you really love fabric. My wife bought some stuff to make a couple of dresses for our little girls.

It's another incredible quilt shop. Tons and tons of fabric. They also have tropical themed needlework supplies. I saw things at this store that I did not see at any of the other quilt shops in the islands. A special bonus is that yellow bali's are always hard to find, but not here. Also, hats off to the person who... More

This is not a big store and that's just one bit of its appeal. What it is large in is selection, they seem to have a bit of everything including unique gifts. I stop here several times with every trip to the island.

We always stop by Kapaia Stitchery when we are on Kauai. So many beautiful fabrics, Hawaiian quilts and stitchery projects to look at. My husband occasionally decides he would like a custom aloha shirt - so this time he picked out some beautiful fabric with waterfalls and koi. When he ordered the shirt, they told him it would probably take... More

You just have to stop in and see this place for yourself. The selection of Hawaiian prints and batik's is unbelievable. The price is very very reasonable. While visiting the island for a week, I stopped in twice! I LOVE each and every print that I brought back to the mainland. The stitchery also offers custom sewing and finished projects... More

I hardly even know what to say. As a die hard seamstress I had a difficult time controlling myself in this shop. Roll upon roll upon roll of tropical and Asian prints that are unavailable on the mainland or super pricey back home are stacked all over and the prices are unbelievably reasonable. The selection of patterns, books, and kits... More

This place is a quilters dream! The Hawaiian fabric is amazing and only $6.99 per yard! I bought more than I had planned on but not as much as I wanted. The Batik selection knocked my socks off as did the Hawaiian fabric. Just gorgeous. Lots of patterns and small quilted items like luggage tags, book covers and seat belt... More

Who goes to a fabric store on vacation ? Well to my surprise I LOVED tagging along with my wife ! The store has hundreds of rolls of Hawaiian print fabric. It is arranged by color so as you enter there is an explosion of optical sensory overload ! Besides fabric you can also purchase table runners ,quilts, and custom... More

This little shop is a gem. I visit it everytime I go and sometimes take part in the community quilting class... Great selection of Hawaiiana... including some unusual needlepoint canvases (one of a kind, Hawaii themed)... I could spend hours and lots of $$$, thank goodness my husband saves me from myself!
