Travel dirt Poipu road taking the left fork at the horse farm to start a 4 mile hike to The Point at Poipu. Trail is easy to follow. Stop along the way for great photo opportunities and to put your toes in the water.

Awesome views from this trail! 1st, stop and watch the surfers at the start of the trail at the Hyatt hotel. Trail takes you along the Cliffside. Rocky and uneven so wear closed toe shoes. We found out we could take a dog out for the day from the Humane Society, so we took Peyton up Sleeping Giant trail to... More

Take some time and follow the Heritage Trail Markers around the Koloa/Poipu area. They contain interesting historical facts that allow the traveler to go back in time. Maps to all the markers can be found in Old Koloa Town, behind the Crazy Shirts store.

If you like fantastic views of the ocean, turtles and rugged surrounding mountain, this hike along the coast is for you. It is a very easy hike along the shoreline. It does get warm, we went in the morning, so make sure you bring plenty of water.

This hike is easy to start. It's basically right out of the Grand Hyatt Resort. It's not a difficult hike, but lets you be on the cliffs above the beach. A short detour takes you onto the Hyatt Golf Course.

There are signs along the way alerting you to the possible nest locations, so pay attention and you might get a glimpse. The views out onto the ocean are spectacular! What wonderful, sea air to fill your lungs!

This is an easy walk along the cliffs off of Shipwreck beach. The views are beautiful. It takes you up on the cliffs, past an ancient heiau and along the rocky coastline. Definitely worth doing! The entire trail is about 4 mi round trip. I would rate this hike as easy.

My son and I walked part of this trail from the Grand Hyatt to the west, from Shipwreck Beach heading towards Poipu Beach Park. We didn't make it all the way but enjoyed the views along the length that we went. The lava rocks are beautiful in contrast to the ocean. Definitely worth exploring farther. We also inadvertently traveled parts... More

We did the trail twice from the Hyatt where we stayed. We went 4 miles out the second time to a point that just takes your breath away with its beauty. We wanted to keep going and the next time we come back, we will plan an all day adventure. The views are just spectacular.

After spending time at Poipu Beach, we decided to follow the signs to "Old Koloa" Town. Its a nice trip back in history. One find was a super hamburger for under $2. You have to walk down to the end of the storefronts and around the corner, but the food was wonderful and priced way below Hawaii standards. Plenty of... More
