The “ALOHA SPIRIT” is what the staff at Kauai Down Under is all about! In the Hawaiian language, Aloha means affection, love, peace and compassion. Aloha has also come to be used as an English greeting to say hello, goodbye, and “I LOVE TO DIVE”. Ok, maybe we added the last part! We are pretty sure, however, that the state of Hawaii was nicknamed the “Aloha State”, due to our staffs’ spirit! From first time to advanced divers, the Kauai Down Under Dive Team is all about making your diving experience truly memorable! We are passionate about what we do, the extraordinary island that we live on, and the abundant waters that surround it. From the endemic species living in our reefs, to unique lava tubes and reef formations, Kauai Down Under can help you experience all that Kauai Scuba Diving has to offer. Our PADI-trained professional scuba instructors have been hand-picked from the best of the best. They lead quality tours and offer fascinating briefings which include Hawaiian history and lore. Your surface intervals will be filled with chatter about the critters that you encountered and how amazing the reef structures are. You will be amazed by how well our instructors know these reefs. This review is really for March 2013, but we never did a review back then. This was a from-shore dive at the landing in southern Kauai. Gaillium met us at the landing and went right to work with the lesson, and then to the water for our skills and first dive. I was dealing with a head cold but still... More

Did our certification dives with Brandon at Koloa Landing. He was very patient with all of us including our 10yr old son. We loved the small group size for our dives. Very personalized attention for each of us. We did a boat dive with him the very next day that was really awesome. Brandon made a point of showing us... More

I choose Kauai Down Under initially because of their flexibility in doing a twilight dive while on the island. We dove with them Friday night on March 20th. We had dove earlier in the week during the day using 5 mil wetsuits. It was quite chilly that night, water was at only 70 and the wind was going pretty good... More

We dove Dave & Mike, Dave was very honest with us on the first day we were scheduled to dive that the visibility was only 20 ft. Not that great for Hawaii! Dave gave us the option to dive then or come back another day, we chose the latter. Upon returning on Friday Mike gave us the option of becoming... More

My friend and I decided to dive while our husband's golfed. We met Brandon down kukuiula harbor in poipu, kauai. It was just the two of us and my friend's first time diving. I was certified in 2005 and Brandon took the time to find my PADI certification number so that I could get a discount. He was super patient... More

My brother and I were on a weeklong vacation from California staying at the Sheraton Kauai and came across their website. Brittany was very helpful in setting us up with Brandon and we had 3 two tank dives. A shore dive, a night dive and the last, a boat dive that included the Sheraton Caverns. What a fantastic experience. Brandon... More

Brenden, Christina (divemasters) and Shawn (boat captain) made my two tank dives an experience of a lifetime. We saw Eagle Rays, white tipped reef sharks, imperial nudibranch and dozens of giant sea turtles. They knew right where to go and were very helpful (but not overly so). They were also reasonably priced (for Hawaii). I highly recommend them!

After corresponding for 3 or 4 emails, we wanted to book a dive for four people prior to arriving in Hawaii. The last email I sent asked how they wanted us to pay (in person cash or credit over email/phone). I didn't get a response back. Sent out another email asking to confirm our booking one we got into Kauai... More

My husband and I booked a dive with DUDT in October 2014. They picked us up from the cruise port at 0715. In transit, our driver, Mike was getting updates regarding conditions at the dive site. That day the conditions were not good; Mike informed us (mid-transport) that visibility was low and it wasn't likely to be a good dive.... More

I did my open water referral dives and advanced open water training with Kauai Down Under. Brandon did all of my training and I highly recommend him. Kauai Down Under worked with my schedule and I was able to do my training at the times and days I selected. The diving group consisted of my husband and I, which was... More
