If you can't make it to a farmer's market, this stand sells a similar selection of local fresh fruits and has a small amount of locally-made goods (cheeses, honey, baked goods, etc). Worth the stop to browse the fruit selection. Best apple bananas I've bought on the island.

They do one smoothie a day, with whatever ingredients are fresh. If the mangoes are fresh, stop here. That was the best smoothie ever. Yes, they have other fruits and chocolates and hats and banana nut bread. But stop here for the smoothies. Plus, the people are very nice.

I heard about the Banana smoothie at Banana Joe's and had to give them a try. It was the best one I have ever had. There is not added sugar, ice, or dairy. I live a paleo lifestyle and this was my treat! If you are in Kauai, you must stop and get one!!

I stopped with my family to get smoothies at Banana Joe's. We had heard of the place and wanted to try them. We each got a smoothie and enjoyed them. There are only two sizes. You might be tempted to get a small, since they run $4.50 and the larger size is $8.50 if I remember right. But don't. Their... More

Intresting little place. A small cup of smoothie is $4.50 and is not so good. Frozen banana is about the same and is small also, it is so so.

Definitely worth a stop to try. I was there at the end if the day and they were out of the banana frosty, but had pineapple. It was very tasty. The lady who was working was not the friendliest, but maybe she gets tired of tourists.

It's worth the drive to Kilauea for Banana Joe's. Farmers market in the adjacent parking lot on weekends.

We have visited Banana Joe's each time we visit Kauai, over the 20 years. The smoothies and frosties are made from fresh local frozen pineapple, papaya, banana, sometimes an individual flavor available at other times a combination. Banana Joe's also sell a small selection of locally grown fruits and veggies, honey, and tempting snacks.

Out in the country between Kapaa and Princeville but not hard to find. Very fresh fruits and vegetables! Have Joe make you a smoothie. They're delicious! Very friendly! We're going back!
