We did the 5 hour garden tour. There was a mix-up about the date of our reservations, so we were in Hanalei when they called to ask whether we were coming for our tour. They were very accommodating and helped us catch up to our tour group when we arrived. It was a very detailed tour...the guide was very down-to-earth... More

We love gardens, and have visited many all over the world. This one is certainly unique! The very limited access they allow (there were just 3 of us on our tour!) makes you feel like you are visiting the family's home, and they are showing you around personally. The grounds are lovely. I have to admit, the statues were a... More

I didn’t really want to pay $35.00 per person for a 2 hour walking tour. However, my stepdaughter really wanted to do it. And I’m glad she persuaded me (the 50 year old tightwad) to cough up the funds! Na Aina Kai gardens are amazing! There are all kinds of tropical and non-tropical plants. For example, there is a desert... More

When we booked the 3 hour stroll and ride tour I thought it would be too long. Not at all. We enjoyed every minute. I had understood that there were sculptures throughout the gardens, but had not realized how many and what fine quality there would be. When I compare the crowds at Butchart Gardens in Canada with the 10... More

Very insightful, we learned so much about the island. The habitat and the history was grand. Self paced and beautiful.

Made a reservation ahead of time for the beach walk. Had an almost private tour, just one other person. Allowed us to choose to walk more of the property rather than ride the golf cart which was great. Diane was the tour guide, very knowledgeable about the gardens, along with the birds, the surrounding area and all the sculptures on... More

This place is stunning and under promoted... Or perhaps not! In that, it wasn't overly crowded and made viewing the absolutely breathtaking flora a relaxed and luscious experience. I'm one for appreciating the natural world anyway, but the private individuals who bought this land had a vision for taking what was already here and beautifying it with what naturally grows... I was very impressed. I took the 3 hour ride and stroll tour. Very beautiful gardens, trees, plants, wide variety of flowers, loads of interesting sculptures, very informative, interesting and entertaining tour guide. I would highly recommend this "attraction".

240 amazing acres of shear beauty. We did the 3 hour stroll and ride which gave us the opportunity to see the love and care that has gone into this master piece and continues today. The statues that have been commissioned for the different garden areas are truly beautiful. Each section of this property tells a story and if you... More

The gardens are the vision of two talented people - OK, talented people with the money to make their vision come true. And very generous people, too - they donated the entire operation to the state. 240 acres of amazing plant life, some native, some imported, some natural, some manicured within an inch of its life, some mixed, some thematic....
