When we booked the 3 hour stroll and ride tour I thought it would be too long. Not at all. We enjoyed every minute. I had understood that there were sculptures throughout the gardens, but had not realized how many and what fine quality there would be. When I compare the crowds at Butchart Gardens in Canada with the 10... More

Very insightful, we learned so much about the island. The habitat and the history was grand. Self paced and beautiful.

Made a reservation ahead of time for the beach walk. Had an almost private tour, just one other person. Allowed us to choose to walk more of the property rather than ride the golf cart which was great. Diane was the tour guide, very knowledgeable about the gardens, along with the birds, the surrounding area and all the sculptures on... More

This place is stunning and under promoted... Or perhaps not! In that, it wasn't overly crowded and made viewing the absolutely breathtaking flora a relaxed and luscious experience. I'm one for appreciating the natural world anyway, but the private individuals who bought this land had a vision for taking what was already here and beautifying it with what naturally grows... More

I was very impressed. I took the 3 hour ride and stroll tour. Very beautiful gardens, trees, plants, wide variety of flowers, loads of interesting sculptures, very informative, interesting and entertaining tour guide. I would highly recommend this "attraction".

240 amazing acres of shear beauty. We did the 3 hour stroll and ride which gave us the opportunity to see the love and care that has gone into this master piece and continues today. The statues that have been commissioned for the different garden areas are truly beautiful. Each section of this property tells a story and if you... More

The gardens are the vision of two talented people - OK, talented people with the money to make their vision come true. And very generous people, too - they donated the entire operation to the state. 240 acres of amazing plant life, some native, some imported, some natural, some manicured within an inch of its life, some mixed, some thematic.... We did the 90 minute stroll tour ($35 each) with Sherri as our knowledgeable and funny guide. It was a hot day and she made sure to offer sunscreen and a parasol if we needed them. Her observations were interesting and she has a great sense of humor. The gardens are immaculate, if kind of a weird hodgepodge of different... More

This is a magnificent piece of property. Beautifully thought out wonderful flow and amazing plants. The guide we had explained about how she had found her energy in Kauai many decades before. However, she did not seem to share this wonderful energy as she lead the group a bit to fast often talking away from group and acting impatient if... More

We (four adults and one 3 year old) recently took the two-hour children's tour and had an absolutely marvelous experience--would highly recommend it for families The guides cleverly gave each child a small sack with his/her name on it to gather "treasures" on the first half of the tour. The gardens are huge and spectacularly beautiful--my husband and I both... More
