We did the walk n ride beach tour. Julie was fun and lively - very knowledgable and kind! The grounds were lovely ( they never claimed to use native only ) and provided for our comfort at all times. The pace was good / the gardens were wonderous and made quite an impression !!! this was a great way to... More

We went on the 3 hour walk/ride tour. It turned out to be 4.5 hours of above and beyond information. So be prepared to spend some extra time. The grounds are the same: above and Beyond. The owners acquired the property in the 70's and added a second parcel in the 90's which totals 240 acres. Our guide was a... More

We took the stroll & ride tour which was supposed to be a 3 hour tour: 1pm to 4pm. We started at 1 and got done at 5:20. While the place is amazing and absolutely breathtaking-- the tour was waaay too long! The tour guide was informative & really knew her stuff, but she was like a wind-up toy and... More

We brought our 4 & 6 year olds for the "Family Tour" and this was a highlight of our trip! Our boys loved collecting nature on the tour, seeing new & interesting plants, and feeding the fish! The Children's Garden is amazing and our boys had a blast. We stayed for 3 hours and probably could have stayed for more.... More

We took the 1-1/2 hour garden tour. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the plants and statues. The garden is lovely cared for, the guides and staff are very proud of it. The walk is easy and slow paced. Lots of time to take photos and ask questions. Good gift shop, free coffee, clean bathrooms.

The grounds were huge, and beautiful. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and so much to see. Bring cameras.

My wife and I had high expectations, based off the strong review in Kauai Revealed. We took the 2hr family tour (with two kids 5 & under - $110 total), while my parents took the 3hr ride & walk ($100 total). Even though the guides mentioned that the Family Tour omitted some items, we assumed it would still have lots... More

We went on the family/kids tour, which was 60 min tour of the main formal gardens and 60 min open play in the kids area. $110 for two adults and two kids (5 yrs and 1yr), on a condensed version of the full 3-5 hr tour, with some gardens omitted (the beach garden, desert garden, and probably more). Our tour... More

We did the 5 hour garden tour. There was a mix-up about the date of our reservations, so we were in Hanalei when they called to ask whether we were coming for our tour. They were very accommodating and helped us catch up to our tour group when we arrived. It was a very detailed tour...the guide was very down-to-earth... More

We love gardens, and have visited many all over the world. This one is certainly unique! The very limited access they allow (there were just 3 of us on our tour!) makes you feel like you are visiting the family's home, and they are showing you around personally. The grounds are lovely. I have to admit, the statues were a... More
