We stayed at the Waipouli Beach Resort in Kapaa, and went to Kealia Beach twice during our stay. It is a long, beautiful beach with nice sand. A great beach for a stroll. This beach probably doesn’t get the attention it deserves because of the more popular beaches on the north shore. The surf is strong at this beach and... More

We went here since it was close to where we were staying. It's a great place to lay out or enjoy the waves. We started to go in near the lifeguard shack (so we would be watched over by the lifeguard). However, he came out and told us that the currents were pretty strong and unless we were experienced (which... More

We like this beach. There is nice sand and plenty of waves. Our twin granddaughters and my husband loved boogie boarding here. It also is great for surfers further down.

We stopped to use the facilities here which needed a bit of upgrade, but ended by going down to the beach and dug our bare feets into the golden sand and cool ocean water! The expanse of the shore was wide and there were not a lot of people. The water was so inviting, although the waves could be a... More

This beach was a great place to just plop down our stuff and hop in the water. It was a clean beach and the lifeguards were attentive. Great for boogie boarding or just sitting and watching the whales breach just on the horizon line.

You will love it here, so pretty and nice to just relax. There are many beautiful beaches in the island, the island itself is just wonderful, we can't wait to go back.

We spent the day at this beach swimming, body boarding, sun bathing, and building sand castles. The restrooms need attention but the beach is realitvely clean.

We LOVE to boogie board. The whole family. This is an amazing boogie board beach. The surf is quite rough so this is NOT a beginners beach. I had some of the best rides of my life here. My 18 and 21 year old sons stayed in for hours. Beautiful long white sandy beach. Not much shade so take chairs... More

Just got home from 10 days on Kauai! While we tried about 6 different beaches, this was our favorite beach on the island. We had 5 kids with us ages 7 - 14 and they loved the boogie boarding opportunities here. We spent most of our time at the north end which is a little calmer since we are not... More

Beautiful wide open beach with plenty of shade. (Although we arrived late and many of the shady spots were taken.) The waves were huge and made me feel like a kid again. Had this not been my last day, I would have rented a boogie board. (As it was, we had some valuables since we had checked out of the... More
