Thus used to be a great place to shop but over the years a number of stores have closed due to the economy. There are still some nice stores but a small number of jewellers. Eggberts is based here which is a good place to eat breakfast. It is a good place to buy souvenirs .This used to be our... More

Visit the Kauai cultural center to make leis for only $10 with Leilani who also does free Hula shows on Wed. At 5 pm. There was a really good Farmers market in the parking lot, plenty of shopping and varied food choices

We went to the Coconut Marketplace for the free hula show Saturday at 1 PM. It was great for the whole family and the kids are very talented.

Great place to stop and eat. They have fish tacos to die for and there is a Lapert's for ice cream. Good place for tourist tee shirts and to stock up in the local store. Best part is the bi-weekly farmers market. Plenty of parking in front of Eggberts Restaurant.

We came here because it was right next to our hotel and we wanted to look for a few things. This location has a vast array of stores and merchandise and is worth browsing through. The shoe store in here has a great selection of shoes for hardly any upcharge(compared to the mainland) so we were happy to buy some... More

Been to the Coconut Marketplace on every visit to Kauai. Over the years it has deteriorated. More and more empty shops. Upkeep is slipping. Quality of merchandise is also slipping. The shop keepers are trying to be cheerful, but you can see there's an underlying problem. One shop keeper told me that the Florida owner is forcing out the long-time... More

This place has suffered from the financial fiasco from recent years; however, it appears to be making a comeback. There are free Hula Shows on Wednesdays and Saturdays and a Farmers' Market on Tuesday and Thursdays. Several cute boutiques are located there as well as a great ice cream place and several good restaurants.

If you drive by the Coconut Marketplace on the main road, you'll think the entire place is run-down and washed up from the looks of it on the outside. However, once you park and walk to the inside of the market place it couldn't be further from the truth. There are several very nice stores for souvenirs, all with great... More

Every Tuesday and Thursday there is a great farmer's market with lots of local farmers selling their local fruits and vegetables. There are several shopping spots for souvenirs and locally made items. Not many food options, but a wonderful ice cream stand is in the middle of the marketplace.
