This used to be a go to place for shopping but there are fewer shops each year. They are doing some remodeling, but unless they get new vendors it is hardly worth your time.

About a dozen vendors. One had banana breads, one had basket weave hats, and the rest sold vegetables and fruit. I bought a pineapple for $5.00 which was the going price in the market. I bought better pineapples in Safeway for 99¢. So here is a money making idea. Buy a bunch of pineapples for 99¢ and sell them at... More

Yes they are renovating this market, never the less there are thing to do and shops to brows through. I especially found the shop at one of the corners(Both sells authentic Hawaiian goods and is a cultural center) Very interesting. We spent close to a hour here being entertained by the owners who showed us private video's on there big... More

Probably a typical farmer's market, but we were anxious to pick up local produce for our 10 day visit. Best surprise find was the Coconut Syrup packets (made on Kauai).

Until the remodel of this long-time shopping area is finished, the visitor will find mostly souvenir and T-shirt shops open. The Kapaa area could use a good-sized mall, what with so many nice accommodations within walking distance. And the weekly hula show and its farmer's market are tiny and not recommendable as attractions.

Small local shopping village. Nice place but several shops closed. Lappert's ice cream alone was worth the trip!

This place is sad and rundown. They are in the process of remodeling it, I hope it pulls it out, right now it's devoid of customers. Like a ghost town. Probably can't compete with Wally World and Costco.

We liked the open air style shopping here. Nice variety of shops, plus they have Lapperts Hawaiian Ice Cream, which we frequested way too much!

Coconut market place is under construction. They still have a couple of good shops. They also have a little hamburger place that is in the middle of coconuts that I would recommend. I wish I could remember the name. Very good. I can't wait when I go back in October to see the improvements. I have high hopes for this... More
