The Coconut Marketplace is making a comeback. There are many closed stores. The retail stores and restaurants are worth the walk. Have some fish tacos, a good BBQ for a sit down meal or just some cocoanut ice cream it's worth the stop. Aloha

We stopped here in the hope of finding a quick deli sandwich or snack on our way back to the cruise ship. The place appeared to be pretty run down - many stores not open - bathrooms in need of updating - not much choice of food outlets. This place may have once been an attractive place to stop, but... This place has continued it's decline in some ways since we were last here 9.5 years ago. Looks like some rehab is occurring and more is needed. The shops that are there are cute. Not all are always open. Very friendly people in the ones that are there. The bathrooms I found to use were looking in need of rehab... More

The Farmers Market on Tue & Thu, 9am-noon on the parking lot of Coconut Marketplace is great, do not miss it. The day I visited there were maybe 10 stalls alltogether. The produce was fresh, much nicer than in supermarkets and I found Lilikoi (passionfruit), my favourite, 3 for $2. Guava, 7 for $2. Beautiful lettuce $2/bag, big papaya 3... More

The marketplace has most of the shops that the hotels have. There is a Whalers which is like ABC stores for basic stuff & souvenirs, There also small eating places plus a place for an ice cream treat.

We had breakfast twice at Eggberts and it was pretty tasty. My husband had the loco moco and was not disappointed. The Hawaiian Screwdriver was very good. Convenient to our condo and the shops there were nice as well.

Since I stayed at Kauai shores an aqua hotel, the Coconut marketplace was right there, 5 minutes away by walk. The northwest bus stop is right there by the marketplace. You can find all kind of hawaiian souvernirs in at least of 10-15 shops. There are two little restaurants there as well.Very close to the marketplace is a nice little... More

We did some shopping and found a good variety of items and some fun shop workers but sadly many of the spaces are vacant. I would love to come back and see this place hopping.

Thus used to be a great place to shop but over the years a number of stores have closed due to the economy. There are still some nice stores but a small number of jewellers. Eggberts is based here which is a good place to eat breakfast. It is a good place to buy souvenirs .This used to be our... More

Visit the Kauai cultural center to make leis for only $10 with Leilani who also does free Hula shows on Wed. At 5 pm. There was a really good Farmers market in the parking lot, plenty of shopping and varied food choices
