Positives - you get to see some beautiful scenery of Kauai at a reasonable price. The movie clips were pretty good, and you get to have lunch which is included in the price. Negatives - we had a pretty bad tour operator (Sam). He liked to gawk at women, not only on the tour but also during the trip (he... More

Sorry so late to review this (from Sept. 2013) but this tour was enjoyable from beginning to end. We stayed at Westin Princeville and debated whether to rent a car or not. We decided to go with the tour because it covered so places on the eastside of Kauai. Kauai is not a big island but we didn't want to... More

We didn't have especially high expectations but we were pleasantly surprised how enjoyable the trip was. We were aware a number of films had been made in Kauai but unaware around 600. The bus was equipped with a large screen so the commentary was supported by film clips..excellent. Mickey was extremely entertaining and did a good double act with Sunny... More

While on a recent Hawaiian Island cruise with Royal Caribbean, I booked the movie tour on Kauai. Our guide/leader was awesome. The bus was rigged up with a screen and power point presentation as he guided us through movie after movie shot on the island of Kauai. I had no idea there were so many movies -- many foreign films... More

It was fun to see where different movies were filmed. My parents were with us and LOVED it. Our guide was colorful and knowledgeable. The only downfall was when the air conditioner on the bus leaked water onto some of our group at the back. It was rather uncomfortable getting wet.

Our tour was with a bus driver who was 50+. We were driven to numerous movie locations and shown a clip of a movie that was filmed in the location/area. The tour would probably be a snore for travelers who are 20-30 years of age, but we loved it! In other words, if you have never heard of John Wayne,... More

Although this mini bus trip was good, stopping at different film locations and very good commentary from the driver (also showing clips from films at these locations), a fair bit is sitting on the mini-bus and not outside. Glad I had done this trip though and would recommend this to any 'film buff' The day trip included plenty of toilet... More

Firstly, this tour is much better suited to the older generations as they cover a lot of filmed locations from the 50s/60s (e.g. Blue Hawaii, South Pacific, Gilligan's Island). I think the only two highlights for us 'Gen Ys' was Jurassic Park and The Descendants. Elvis fans will appreciate the visit to Coco Palms; albeit a tad depressing given the... More

The Hollywood cheese level was great if you like that crap the way we do, but the tour was cool to us because you find some great secret spots on the island. Really a unique way to start a trip here. Time flies by & the shuttle van was clean. On board TV & speakers were adequate quality but could... More

I will assume that this is the same tour as the one the cruise ship offered in their excursion. We went on this excursion from our cruise ship, Roberts tours picked us up in a clean 24? passenger van with a great guide. We saw a lot of filming sites with the highlights from film playing on the van. One... More
