We were pleasantly surprised to find the 4 x 4 tour took us to several places we had not "bothered" to visit on several trips to Kauai. Our favorite pastime is going to the movies on weekend (although it costs 18$ for a ticket). I do not have negative opinion on this tour at all for we did not rent a car in Kauai. Before coming to Kauai, I watched my video "Blue Hawaii", "Hawaiian Paradise" and "Jurassic Park". It was good preparation for this tour. Although... more

Hawaii Movie Tours was somewhat interesting, but a far cry from similar tours offered in other locales such as San Francisco. Hawaii Movie Tours is fairly expensive for what you get, and WAY too much of the tour is devoted the the abandoned and decrepit Coco Palms hotel....if you are a big Elvis fan, you might find this interesting, but... more

If you are a big fan of movies and scenery, then the tour is a lot of fun. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The guide and the others on the tour had fun with the trip. My wife and I just returned from Kauai and we agree with the previous reviewer. This tour is not worth the $125 per person. Most of the sites visited are easily accessable on your own. Also the tour shows movie clips from films older than dirt on VCR players inside the van and trys to show the locations where those... more

We took the 4x4 tour hoping to see parts of the island that we wouldn't otherwise be able to see. The tour was fairly expensive ($125 per person) but we thought we'd give it a try.
