On our recent visit, there were no useable restrooms. The port-a-potties were disgusting with feces floating on the floor. There was no place to change. There were no tables to eat at. There was no shade. The whole place is currently undergoing reconstruction and is just not user friendly. It was a total waste of time. Visiting the old heiau... More

Unfortunately we were only able to stay here for about 20 minutes or so before long-term rain drove us away, but we did have enough time to start playing in the sand and test out the water. i can see why parents like it as the water is enclosed and therefore quite safe, but the water was not nearly as... Excellent spot located behind the Aston Aloha for nice long walks along the beach as well as for swimming in a mini-cove protected from the ocean and for just kicking back and relaxing on the beach.

The main review book says this is good snorkeling area. That may be true in summer if you can go outside the pool, but in March, it was very poor for snorkeling.

Shallow protected pools good for young children or beginner snorkelers. Lifeguards, restrooms, playground. Sit on the beach in the sun or up on the grassy area in the shade.

I absolutely live this beach. My aunt lives up the way from it. I have visited most all beaches since I have been twice so far with an experienced tour guide. I am coming again 7 yrs later next month for the month of April. I find this beach very safe as a solo tourist. Has everything u will need:... More

This beach got great reviews, so I expected it to be a little nicer. There is work being done on and around the bathrooms, but it needs a lot more work. The grounds were dirty, littered with garbage here and there. The sand wasn't all that great, and the water wasn't the pretty blue of several of the beaches in... More

The sheltered swimming area is great for kids and waders. Lots of grass, picnic tables, and birds to watch make this a great place for an outing.
