Our grandkids caught a small yellowfin (maybe 2-3 pounds)and a skipjack about 6-7 pounds). Not big fish but their first blue water fish. They both really enjoyed the trip – great weather, easy 2-3 foot seas, saw hundreds of dolphin and large yellowtail thrashing the water chasing bait fish, saw the Orca (very rare in Hawaii) which went under our... My wife and I went on a 4-hour trip with Lance and "V". There was a pretty good swell and wind blowing which made for a rough ride and didn't do much for the fishing, but I still caught a small yellowfin tuna - unbelievably good sushi and ceviche! Lance was very professional and determined, and seemed genuinely disappointed that... More

I took a 4 hour shared trip with Lance and V. Definitely a newbie, but they put me at ease immediately with a "Good, then we don't have to break any bad habits!". Very professional. We had a mixed group of skill levels, ages and backgrounds on board and everyone was treated well. I highly recommend this charter.

My husband and I went on a four hour charter with Lance and V. Even though it was a cloudy rainy day it didn't matter. My husband caught a 150 pound Blue Marlin. Capt. Lance and mate V know there stuff. They are professional, knowledgable and really fun to spend 4 hours with. I would highly recommend Ohana if you... More

Our boat captain was "V" and our deck hand was "Bo". We moved around in the ocean looking for fish, and Bo changed lures more than once. Both were indications that they were really working to catch fish. In 4 hours my son and I caught 8 tuna (3 different types). Every thing worked out really well. The crew was... More

The experience was a little rough for me as it turns out I get very sea sick. But my fiance had a blast and caught quite a large Mahi Mahi. The scenery was beautiful from the boat and the crew, V and Kaylani, were fantastic. While I spent most of the time with my head down, I appreciated how nice... More

I went out twice this vacation with them. One with Howard as Captain and one with lance as captain. Both a major success culminating with this fish. I have fished with Charters in several countries and over 15 times and these guys are top notch. They work for the fish, want to catch fish, and are fun to hang with.... More

I highly recommend Ohana Fishing Charters! Took the family out today for a 4hr trip with Captain Howard and First Mate Khelani (sp.?). A great couple of guys — made us all feel at home and comfortable. Howard has a substantial reportoire of jokes, and knew all the jokes we tossed back to him! After trolling for a bit without... My significant other and I took my daughter and her boyfriend to Kaua'i for 2 weeks for their high school graduation present. Eating breakfast at Kountry Kitchen our first morning on the island, my significant other picked up a brochure for Ohana Fishing Charters. Since we were still on East Coast time, he thought it'd be an awesome thing to... More
