This kayak business is run by a very friendly and helpful couple. They teach you about all the gear and give you a map with detailed instructions. We only rented the kayak and did not do the guided tour. We had a really great time just the two of us on the river, and enjoyed not being with a lot... More

SO IMPRESSED!!! When planning our family trip, my family's age range is from 51-22. We wanted an EPIC adventure well "we found it"! Our guide Forrest was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, so impressed with his energetic personality. We will definitely be back!!!!! - Katie Awesome day. For someone who is not a hiker. Our guide Forrest was so much... My husband and I did this trip on our first day on Kauai, and it is one of my favorite things that we did during the whole week there. A couple owns the company, and they were extremely nice and courteous when booking on the phone and when we checked in. They drive you to the harbor where your kayaks... More

We rented a two-person kayak for $90.00, and you can get a 5-hour tour for 50.00 per person, so renting yourself doesn't save much. We didn't want to be with a group. The guy renting wasn't there when we showed up at our assigned time, and he was of little or no help with the most nonchalant attitude we've ever... More

There were twelve of us in this group and we all went on tandem kayaks. Our guide was "Kyle" and he was the greatest! The river view was awesome and the waterfall was spectacular. They provided a dry bag and a cooler so we had our lunch at the waterfall. We will definitely do this again and recommend this as... More

This review is somewhat overdue as we did the trip in Novmeber 2013 and I am still catching up on a lot of reviews from a 2 month trip. We went on the kayak/hiking trip to the Secret Falls with this company. As per other reviews, this company has the first slot of the day - so it is possible... More

This wasn't our most favorite excursion that we went on, and here's a few reasons why: -kayaking is much harder than you think. Not that it's difficult, but going a few miles when it's warm out is difficult and your arms get tired (and we are in shape) -there are people everywhere! It's definitely not a peaceful and quiet kayak/hike... More

I have to say - i was not at all excited about this adventure... even before we got there. The kayaking both ways was hard (2.5 miles each way...and over old fallen trees and debris at one point) - and i'm in decent shape. And the hike to the falls was at least ankle deep in mud.... then our return... More

The family had a great time at this adventure. After a two-mile kayak up the river we had a two-mile hike to the secret falls which was a beautiful spot. After a swim under the falls we returned to where we began. While you do not have to be super-fit to enjoy this adventure, you do have to have reasonable... More

Since 2002, I tried Wailua River Kayak total 5 times. Two times were guided tours. I recommend a guided tour and hiking to secret falls. It's about 5 hours trip (half day activity) worth money and refreshing day hike if you are acompanied by a good kayak tour operator.
