Great course for the money

We played this course in March 2012. Wailua is a local course (as we were the only "tourists" that I could see). The locals were friendly and we had no problems. The only issue... read more

I was a little hesitant about the pace of play after reading some reviews, but it all turned out to be for not. Note: I played on a Tuesday morning, weekends might be a little more crowded. This course is awesome (for a Muni course). Don't expect the grounds to be kept like a PGA style course, it's a Muni... More

Great course to play with reasonable greens fees-given the Higher priced courses in Princeville.

We played this course in March 2012. Wailua is a local course (as we were the only "tourists" that I could see). The locals were friendly and we had no problems. The only issue that occurred was the starter let several singles go off and they never joined up. We were not waved through (even though they were walking and... More

Played in Feb '12 and the course was in very good condition.  I agree with all the rave reviews about the setting, scenery and price! However, be aware that the green fees are payable in cash only, and the only food and beverages available are from vending machines. Also, alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the course (Not just a course... More

The 16th hole is treasure, savor every moment. I wish I had municipal course as good as this one in my neighborhood.

This is a beautiful course and very fun to play. It is a great course if you just want to play. This is a local's course, so be respectful of the people who live there. You will have a great time if you are able to slow down and enjoy the beautiful location.

For not being a fancy golf course, it's well-maintained, has beautiful ocean views and is in-general a pleasant course to play for an amateur golfer.

Terrific muni course in the Kapaa area. First two holes parallel the ocean before turning inland for the remaining of our nine-hole round. Rates drop from $48 to $24 after 2pm, $10 more for a cart, $4 for a big bucket of range balls; best bargain on the island. Challenging course for us advanced beginners; lots of bunkers, hardly any... I have played Wailua several times over the years and I am never disappointed. Other than not being able to use local rates. lol. I have never had a game go over 4 hrs 20 min and during the waits enjoyed the unbelievably beautiful scenery . Can't wait to get back there. Dan- Bremerton, WA
