Please be advised that the trail leading to Secret Falls has been greatly improved since November 16th, 2014. A board walk has been installed to span the ditches which have been very muddy for many months. Although the trail is often muddy and slippery, the overall hiking experience is substantially better. For those of you who hiked the Secret Falls trail earlier this year, all of the kayak companies thank you for your patience and understanding that the rain forest trail is through a wilderness which is subject to Mother Nature's whimsical behavior. Mahalo nui loa and a hui hou!

Our driver Webb, and guide Nate did a great job. Total per person ended up around $50 including gratuity and tip. Kayaking is 2.5 miles way - hiking is 1 mile each way. Get some water shoes at Walmart prior to the trip if you don't have them for around $10/pair.

Our guide was Forrest. He's either incredibly knowledgable or totally full of it. Regardless, he was extremely entertaining and made a fun adventure even better. Ask for him, or his slap-stick sidekick Webb, and you'll be in good hands. If you want a quiet guide, go somewhere else. In fact, just for fun, ask Forrest if he ever buys any... More

My wife and 5-year old son took the kayak tour which is a non-strenuous 2.5-mile kayak paddle followed by a scenic 1-mile hike on a cool jungle trail to a beautiful waterfall. We took a 3-seat kayak so we were all in one kayak which was cool. Be sure to request Danica, she was a great guide with calm energy... More

guide was excellent, knowledgeable about the trees, plants and history of the island. closed-toe athletic shoes are a must. trails are muddy and needed to cross a stream about 3 feet deep. there was a rope strung across to hang on to. the sandwich lunch was very good. kayaks with rudders were easy to navigate. memorable adventure.

A truly amazing experience! Our guide Nate made the superscenic trip even better with huge amounts of knowledge, pride and enthusiasm for this wonderful place. Well worth the money. Mahalo from Norway!

If you have only one adventure you are going to do while visiting Kauai I would recommend this kayak trip and request Danica as you guide. Danica did a great job of providing history of the area as we paddled and then hiked the short, flat trail into the water fall. Fantastic trip!!

If you're looking for a fun, active, yet relaxing adventure then check out Kayak Wailua in Kapa'a. It starts with a 30-45 minute kayak ride, then on to a 30-45 minute hike which ends at a beautiful waterfall where you eat lunch and take in the scenery or go for a swim underneath the falls. The best part about the... More

This was my fourth trip with Kayak Wailua and by far the best. Nate was hands-down the best guide: enthusiastic, knowledgeable, relaxed, and engaging. He was thorough in his safety brief but allowed people to get out and learn the ropes of kayaking down a scenic and pleasant river. The hike to the falls was short and easy enough for... More

My wife and I took the Wailua Kayak trip with Kayak Wailua. We went out with a small group and our tour guide John at 10:00. You kayak about a mile down river and then hike another mile to a waterfall/swimming hole. We picked Kayak Wailua over several of other groups offering tours due to their great reviews, the reasonable... More
