This was so so so much fun. Lisa was the best guide ever! She stayed connected with everyone in her group and made sure we all felt involved and made sure we were all having a great time. She told us interesting facts about plant life and Hawaiian culture and when we got to the falls she played the drums... More

On July 9, 2014, with a friend, kayaked and hiked up to Secret Falls. On the hike back to the kayaks I unfortunately broke my ankle along a muddy greasy trail. The reason for this message is to warn tourists of the dangerous conditions along the trail. We were aware of possible muddy conditions along the trail. However, the conditions... More

Was a fun tour.. Our guide Kyle was very informative and gave great kayaking tips which made the kayaking trip much easier! We went on a good day when the trail was "dry" ... Highly recommend wearing closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting very dirty and soaking wet. Was a nice hike, pretty easy overall and the waterfall... More

We were a group of 6, 3 couples. The kayaking was pleasant, the falls were beautiful, and check in was efficient. After reading the owner description of this excursion we were expecting a mostly level 2 mile roundtrip hike so I wore Teva sandals. I didn't have enough traction for the slippery, uneven trails, my sandals made the hike treacherous... More

Thank you very much for reviewing your experience with Kayak Wailua. We provide a wide variety of footwear for the hiking portion of our tour. The shoes are loaned free of charge. I wonder if your guide showed you our extensive inventory. Many hikers prefer Tevas, Keens, or Merrills over hiking shoes or boots which become very heavy when muddy... More

Forest was our guide and I highly recommend asking for him! He not only has a lot of knowledge of the Hawaiian culture and history to share but he's hilarious and makes the tour a lot of fun! This is a must do tour while visiting the beautiful island of Kauai!

We were looking to book an excursion that was worth the cost and we found it. We got there 30 minutes early and easily found the place right off the main street. Parking was well organized which made for a quick exit on our return. They have a whole lot of shoes that you can borrow that were donated by... More

My husband and I booked a trip with Kayak Wailua on our recent trip to Kauai. I read many reviews on Trip Advisor and chose this company for all the great reviews it has received and was not disappointed. I booked my reservation online prior to our arrival. Our guide David was knowledgable and helpful and made a point to... More

My husband and two girls (17 & 19) went on the excursion and had an amazing time! I was a bit nervous because I had never kayaked before, but it was great fun and not scary at all. I won't go into a lot of detail about the trip because another reviewer has described it very well already. Our guide,... More

Did the helicopter trip, snorkeling, ziplines and this kayak trip. Wife and son voted this best based on our guide, the scenery, the fun of kayaking, and the hike. Kawika was our guide and did an excellent job working with people of all abilities and speeds. He was super personable and tried to mix some island knowledge in with good... More

Our tour guide Kyle did an amazing job at making this trip something never to forget. We felt like part of his family. He made it feel as tho he was excited to share his treasures with his family and we benefitted!! The young pregnant receptionist was very talented at jungling those who arrived on time and those guests who... More
