Since 1965, we have been THE original "kookie" from the island of Kauai. Our bakers are hard at work creating a variety of island-style cookies and other baked items that uphold a reputation of quality. Each of our products is baked fresh daily using some of Hawaii’s finest ingredients. Come visit our factory store in Hanapepe and select from a variety of samples - we are sure you will find one that you like.

Large range of flavors, lots of free samples, worth a stop

Kauai Kookie factory and store in Hanapepe is a little hole in the wall in the back of a parking lot. It is a must stop, as it has so many varieties of cookies that almost... read more

After reading the TA reviews, we were expecting to sample some of the new cookie flavors. The lady working there wasn't very friendly and didn't offer us any samples to taste. Or maybe we were supposed to help ourselves? Didn't see any bins/plates w/ samples? Even when we were trying to decide which cookies to buy, she didn't even offer... More

Kauai Kookie factory and store in Hanapepe is a little hole in the wall in the back of a parking lot. It is a must stop, as it has so many varieties of cookies that almost everyone will find some variety that they like. We go every time we are in Kauai, and this time there was a elderly lady... Kauai Kookie is way more than what you find at the grocery store. If you find yourself on the west side of the island, or with a rainy day, or just want something off the beaten path, this stop is worth a few minutes of your time. This is a very unassuming storefront (think like a small convenience store). They... More

We visited Kauai Kookie for a late lunch one afternoon. It's a different sort of place, as it hosts a deli (and possibly a grill), and a convenience style store which carries souvenirs and the Kauai Kookies. The food really wasn't more than average if that. We had a chicken sandwich and grilled cheese. They weren't terrible, but certainly not... More

Every time we visit Kauai, we make sure to stop in at the little cookie outlet in Hanapepe, which in itself is a charming little town with an adorable swinging bridge to walk over and a few shops in which to browse and buy. But back to the main attraction - just a bit past the main part of town... More

We stopped in to grab some cookies and they have much more there. It would be a great place for a nice lunch. Friendly staff too.

Go only if your in the area. I wouldn't drive a long distance to go. I went only to try new flavors that you can't get at the store. They have samples for you to try first before buying.

The factory store is very small but the staff were very friendly and offered free samples. I'm not a cookie person but I did feel that these were good cookies.

While in Waikiki, you will see numerous Honolulu Cookie Company bumping with business. Here in Kauai there is Kauai Kookie. Smaller scale and more of a homemade taste of tropical flavors. Free samples are offered and make wonderful gifts from Kauai. I purchased the Limited Edition Rooster Cookies in Guava and Chocolate/Haupia Coconut - both wonderful!

This factory is kind of hidden but if you keep your eyes open while heading to Waimea Canyon you will find it on your right when you get to the town of Eleele. There is a small sign. A great place to pick up some of the famous Kauai Kooky-- they come in small 6 oz packages or in the... More
