I visited the bridge while walking around Hanapepe before Hanapepe Art Night. The bridge was fun to walk across and swing but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

It was cute to walk across the swaying bridge. There is no charge and it goes nowhere. Not recommended for anxious people but it looks very safe.

While nothing spectacular, I can see a mother or father being a hero,by taking the kids to cross the river on this tame but "exciting" bridge. The price is right! Free.

Be warned, it swings and swings a lot. But, I did it! I was so proud of myself. I waited until I was the only one on the bridge. Although then my mates joked, "No one to save you, if the bridge breaks." Nice mates! It's one of those things you do for nostalgia or to just say you did... More

The swinging bridge is right off the Main Street. The trade winds were calm the day we visited but you could still feel a slight sway. Fun thing to experience and an interesting bridge design.

This is a great stop on your way to see other things in the area. The bridge was swaying a little and you can move it more once your on it. The town was really quaint and cute. Everything was closed by the time we arrived so it was really quiet. There weren't a lot of people around. Just local... More

If you happen to be in historic Hanapepe, you need to experience the walking bridge. It was originally built in 1911 for people that needed to cross the river. My wife was about half way across but felt uneasy about the swaying of the bridge. It is a good hundred feet across. Visiting the Swinging Bridge would be a real... More

The bridge sways gently from movement and from the wind. Easily reached from the main street of Hanapepe.

While in Hanapepe you must visit the "famous" swinging bridge! A single lane and lovely view adds to the charm of this quick stop. We enjoyed the landscape at sunset.
