A cute pier. Very nice to look at while the sun goes down. Sit at the right end of the beach with the crowds of locals, or just as a romantic couple to the left of the pier. Stunning.

This is a great beach for kids. No waves in the summer and a beautiful setting. You can't ask for much more than that.

We've been to this beach every year for the last 9 years, and it has always been a nice, safe, family oriented beach. Some beaches in Hawaii do not have lifeguards, but this one does. Also, some beaches do not provide bathroom facilities. This one does. This place has ample parking on Weke Road if you come early enough in... More

Probably our favorite beach on the island. With bathrooms, shower, life guard station (very important), and ample parking. Also, very near to commercial area for food and drinks. Very nice beach to relax and have fun.

Just stayed 10 nights at a home on the Bay. This has been a favorite spot for our family as the kids like jumping off the pier, it isn't crowded, and the views are spectacular. The river is so calm so learning to paddleboard is easy and then going out on the bay is a little more challenging but doable... More

Simply put, we felt there were several much-nicer beaches in Kauai. The good part is, it's protected by the bay, so the waters are nice and calm, with nice, slow waves. This is unlike many of the island's beaches, which often had choppy water and rugged waves. It's also a big beach, which means lots of space - but also... More

Nice, big beach. Very nice area. I do recommend. After the beach you can go to Hanalei town and walk around, there are some cute Stores and Restaurants. We went to Tahiti Nui for dinner, had Pizza, good prices! and very nice atmosphere. Wanted to go there since they filmed one of the "The Descendants" (Movie) scenes there. Gets crowded,... More

This sure is a hot spot for the locals! We went to this beach on a Sunday morning and all the locals rolled in their pick up trucks, and put up tents over the back of their trucks and cooked out. We loved the smooth water for the kids and enjoyed renting a paddle board right there in the river... More

The water is warm and calm, but not clear enough for snorkeling. It is a great location for swimming and playing on the beach with the kiddos. Bathrooms and showers are located there as well.
