The pier is just a pier - nothing fancy about it...but it is a great beach for families with children. The sand is finer than most beaches on Kauai. It isn't coarse like the others. The surf is great for boogie boarding or first time surfers. The surrounding mountains makes for great pictures - very jungle like. Gets crowded fast.

This is and will always be a place of so much love and great memories. Vacationing here w/our children year after year remembering them jumping off the pier, fishing, talking, laughing and just so many days and nights spent here enjoying Hanalei. This location is the type of place that when you get there and see it and stand there... More

This was a great place to take photos. Some of the best views in the world. Surprisingly not that crowded when we went.

Great sunsets from Hanalei Pier (Black Pot Beach Park). A very active family friendly beach. We also walked the Pier and felt the strong ocean breeze.

Gorgeous and so huge is never crowded no matter who or what comes. People of all shapes sizes and ages.. Fun to walk along the whole beach, looky loo, see the surfers and gorgeous homes, and go to the end of the pier and see the little kid surfers, some as young as 6 with their baby boards navigating the... I liked the fact it went into the water and you could see surfers go by, but online back in Canada it looked so impressive, here not so much,
