You see the sign for a scenic stop, not knowing what it is, but turn in anyway to check it out. So beautiful with the mountains behind the taro fields. This is a preservation/wildlife sanctuary for birds. Stop and read the signs and take lots of photos!

Perfect place for photo of Taro Fields with Namolokama mountain in the background. We stop more than once when we visit because it is just such a beautiful spot.

Beautiful setting. Farm fields below and mountains in the background. Everything is green. You are elevated which makes for a good picture. Its easier to park if you stop on your way out of Hanalei.

Well worth a stop. Beautiful view every direction you look. It can get very cold and windy as well but worth getting soaked.

We stopped at this lookout several times during our stay on the North shore; it was interesting to see the taro fields and mountains in different stages of lighting and cloudiness. The signage was very interesting and helpful in understanding the area.

It will take about 90 minutes to get here from Poipu, but it is well worth it. The views of the ocean, valleys, and mountains are fantastic. There are actually several photo ops along the way, but this is one of the best. The public access beaches along the north coast look quite fun too with very large waves. My... More

We stopped to take advantage of the gorgeous backdrop for selfies and a quick family group pic. Nice view of mountains and fields below

Didn't take 5 minutes to stop and look out and snap a few pictures. What a lovely view and I am not kicking myself because I did stop and got some great pictures. Don't miss the stops when you see them.

You can see the taro fields and valley below but also fantastic views of Mt. Waialeale. There are other turnouts on the way to Hanalei. This one is really good.
