Take a drive and see it all. So green and lush. The entire area is gorgeous. Plenty of area to pull off the road and take a look!

Fields of taro, lush green valley - worth a stop and look. Only takes a few minutes and you can get a great picture for your travel book!

the lookout did not have a sign identifying it as the Hanalei Valley, so we missed it on own way to our Na Pali coast tour. On our way back to the hotel we saw a lookout and stopped; that's when we realized it was the Hanalei Valley. It was beautiful, the afternoon lighting was spectacular. Glad we stopped.

The perfect perfect postcard vantage point to view the Hanalei Valley and, in my opinion, the best way to enjoy Hanalei beach (read my review of that). This was my third visit to Kauai and I never tire of the view (don't always pull over, just slow down to savor).

I think I first visited Hanalei back in the 1970's and remembered this spot from the first time I saw it. At the time there was a song "Puff the Magic Dragon" by Simon & Garfunkle I think. It was about a magic dragon who lived in Hanalei or a very special place. Hanalei with the mountains in the distance... More

not spectacular. We missed this spot initially thinking the sign was one of many lookout spots. I wouldn't suggest skipping it but don't go out of the way to look for this lookout.

It's funny that TripAdvisor has a review for a little spot to pull over on the side of the road. But sure enough, it is about the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. So take the minute or two to pull over and take a look.

We stopped here to take a few photos. The view was really lovely. But, really, you can't stay here too long. You just park on the side of the road, take a nice look, and keep moving. But, looking down on the lush landscape is beautiful. And, well worth a look!
