I had heard very nice things about this course but was disappointed with the shape of the course given the greens fees. Lots of bare patches in the fairways and around the greens. The greens were bumpy and unevenly mowed in patches with many burned out areas. The holes themselves were nicely laid out though only one hole is on... More

Course could be in better shape, but was a moderately challenging, pleasant round. 7th hole is the draw, but rest are nicely laid out with great views of the volcano in the far background. Recommend

My husband and I love to come to Kona for the holiday season, and we managed to visit here again this year. We played both courses last time we were here in 2011 and 2013. We like the beach course for views, and love the King's course for challenges (back nine is harder and trickier than the front.). It gets... More

I made my reservation online and then found that I could get a better green's fee through the hotel concierge. I played the Beach Course as a single midweek on a beautifully maintained course that offers many challenges to golfers of all skill levels. Be careful of the several water hazards, sand traps and lava surrounding the fairways. Hole 7... More

The course layout was interesting and challenging, and there were some picturesque views along the ocean. However, I can only describe most of the course conditions as neglected. Not only did the fairways have large dead brown areas, many of the greens shared the same condition. This was unfortunate as the course has the potential to be rated excellent.

Has potential to be really nice, greens were horrible though. Who ever they have cutting cups is awful there is old cup placements all over the greens and they are really dry and bumpy.

I was staying in Kings Land Waikoloa and decided to play a round of the beach course. The course is relatively easy to play and quite forgiving. A lot of the course is not along the coast but when the gold course does reach the ocean, what a view! The 7th hole probably one of the most famous and memorable... More

Hole #7 by the ocean makes the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course worthwhile. Once, in the winter season, a whale breached right off the coast when I got to the green! This course requires more accuracy to get around the lava fields and to play in windy conditions. In general, the golf course is maintained in good shape.

I love this course! I drive up to Waikoloa from Kona everytime we come to the island just to play here. It is a challenging, beautiful, very enjoyable course. Breathtaking short run by the coast. It is terrific golf, be ready for wind in Waikoloa, but it is a round worth every dollar & stroke!

A little disappointed in the Beach Course. Wasn't in nearly as good shape as the Waikoloa King's Course. Still wonderful.
