My boyfriend and I did enjoy eating at the Tommy Bahama restaurant here...however, we were not thrilled with the shopping in the area. We had the King's shops across from our hotel (the Marriott) and thought those shops were way better.

We stayed in Waikoloa, but we were glad we found the Shops at Mauna Lani. The Foodland had great prepared food to take home to our condo, and better prices than over in Waikoloa. The sushi was some of the best I've ever had, not something I usually say about a grocery store selection. Try the lychee/mochi frozen treats -... More

The salespeople at these shops are definitely used to having to push their wares! No one was unpleasant, but they are certainly skilled. We had fun with tasting jams and iced teas, and browsing the shops. Obviously over priced, but we purchased a few things. It was a fun shopping trip.

We frequently visit the Kohala coast and always stop by this mall. The splash fountains are a big hit with my kids. There are nice places to eat: the Blue Room just opened up and is quite good. The salon is a nice place for a pedicure. But the highlight of this mall is the hula show on Monday and... More

Aunty Tutu is such a pleasant and obviously skilled musician - the combination = a great teacher. Talk Story included, I learned that I really do want to continue to learn the ukulele. Any age could benefit.

While it looks beautiful it is desolate and empty! While there is great dining (Ruth's Chris, Tommy Bahamas & a sushi place), there really is no shopping other than two little surf shops and an overpriced souvenir shop or two. Oddly there are several art stores, but I would only go to the decent coffee shop, or the food market... More

We at The Shops would of course disagree with some of your comments. We do have more shopping than "two little surf shops and an overpriced souvenir shop or two". Our website (the link is at the top of our TripAdvisor page) shows the various stores, restaurants and galleries and also shows our weekly events including 2 free hula shows.... More

I love shopping, especially while vacationing, but this shopping area has nothing to offer. A few shops here and there but most shops were empty.

My wife and I really enjoyed the lessons given by Aunty Tutu. We caught the ukulele bug because of her. Frankly we followed her from the Sheridan to the Shops at Mauna Lani and ended up enjoying the unique shops.

Compared to the other shopping centers nearby (Kings Shops and Queens Marketplace), this one simply does not have the same caliber or amount of stores. We have been to this mall a few times on previous trips and it seems like each time we come, there's less and less stores. Generally, the only time we stop here is when we... More

Thank you for your review. Since your visit, we now have Juice 101 open most show nights (Monday and Thursday) and they do serve Ice Cream, Smoothies and other foods and snacks at a reasonable price. Foodland is open late every night and they do have dessert items as well for a snack after (or before) the show. We hope... More

At the shops at Mauna Lani on Thursday nights, they offer a free Polynesian dancer show. It only lasted about 30 minutes but it was one of the highlights of our Hawaii trip. We did not attend a Luau, and this was the very next best thing. Awesome, talented young men and women in traditional dress performing. So memorable.
