Rented two bikes for three days at a cost of $120. Bikes were brand new. Went in and were riding away 30 minutes later. Very happy with experience.

Great selection of rental bikes, always serviced and tuned. The mechanics are knowledgable and able to rebuild your bike out of the box. They are equally comfortable with sram, shimano, DI-2 or campagnola, able to assess and rebuild your 10 year old equipment and get you on the road quickly.

I rented a Specialized Allez and was very happy with my experience. It felt a little expensive compared to other rentals but for a week long rental it is less expensive and less of a hassle than transporting your own bike to HI. The bike was in great mechanical condition. The riding in the area is excellent. Be prepared for... More

Got online, clicked the bike/size I wanted, and the dates and the reservation was finalized. Once I arrived, it took about 5 minutes for them to do the paperwork and put my pedals on, and I was out the door. No problems, very efficient, and the bike was "as-advertised" and functioned well.

I always rent high-end bikes at my travel destinations. It's a good opportunity to ride something different. I am most interested in ease of rental experience, well-maintained equipment, and good customer service (e.g. good mechanic, route recommendations). Bike Works (Waikoloa location) met or exceeded my expectations in each of my top-3 criteria; this is rare. Ease of rental experience: I... More

My 2nd year visiting Waikoloa, booked on line, sent fitting specs, and followed up with a phone call. --- bike up and ready to go upon my arrival. No hassle in fitting pedals, and bike set-up. The tech guys are exceptionally client-friendly and the advice on rides, routes, recommendations are from the heart-- the staff guys and gals are all... More

OK, you're wondering about that title! I've rented here three times, alone and with friends. So happy with the service and the maintenance that I lurked until they were selling off some rentals and picked up a Specialized Allez that I had rented. They took great care of me and packed it well in the midst of supporting Ironman competitors... More

(Waikoloa Village location) -- Our first impression here wasn't good unfortunately. We rented road bikes (which were very nice) and dealt with the manager directly initially. His customer service skills needed work - we definitely did not feel like valued customers after the rental sign in process. The main message we received from him was "These are nice bikes -... More

(Kona Location) I was not pleased with the customer service attitude on my first visit to the Kona store, to pick up a rental I had reserved. However, they redeemed themselves with much friendlier service on my return visit for supplies, so I will chalk it up to a bad day and maybe I had the wrong first impression. That... More

Bike Works at Waikoloa Village is an excellent bike shop. This was the second time we rented bikes from this location. It is located in the Queens Marketplace in Waikoloa Village. We rented three bikes for a week. Brrought our own bike shoes and pedals. It took Bike Works very little time in getting this done. The hours of the... More
