Did a 2 tank dive. The wet suit I got was old and had holes in it all over. As a result, I was cold during the dives, and did not enjoy my experience. That said, the staff was friendly, and it was fun diving with them.

You are picked up at a wharf just to the north of the resorts above Kona. You get a wetsuit for flotation and warmth. The team are very nice and give you all a good back ground on what you will be doing and seeing. How it works.....etc. The dive itself is is just off one of the resorts in... More

Blue Wilderness Dive shop located in Queens Market in Waikoloa Beach provides an outstanding experience for those looking to either buy dive gear or participate on one of their dive boats. It all starts with Denise the owner who is military friendly (ie provides you a military discount) and it extends to Tony and Eric who operate the boats and... More

My significant other and I were certified PADI OW in dry suits this past September and it was not a positive experience - zero visibility and 54F water. We wanted to try a dive while in Kona, but we were apprehensive about diving with more experienced people and either holding the others in the group back or being pushed further... More

On the many things on my bucket list, this one takes the cake. The world you will see in the Hawaiian ocean will absolutely amaze you. I'm very fortunate to have booked with Blue Wilderness; after finding every dive shop was booked weeks in advance and nearly booking a shore dive with one of the other dive shop's employee (as... I earned my open water diving certificate this past July. I was very apprehensive at the beginning, but my instructor Kevin was reassuring, understanding and very accommodating of my mental monkeys. I completed the open water requirements and did the manta ray night dive. The shop is in Queens marketplace and has everything you need or forgot for diving. The... More

This was the third year in a row my husband and I have been diving with these guys. We are spoiled rotten by this outfit for many reasons. 1) They are located in the Kohala Coast area near the resorts. You do not have to make the long drive to Kona for diving, if you are staying up north. 2)... More

On Saturday we did the evening scuba dive to watch the Manta Rays, it was so incredible it is hard to put into words. I would agree with some that say it is one of the top ten things to do in your lifetime. We have been diving with Blue Wilderness this week and part of next week. The boat... More

My wife and I got married in September and we decided to go the big Island for the honey moon. We decided to go for the Scuba diving for the non-certified (That's us!) package. Kevin was our instructor/guide. He kept an eye on us in every step of the way. He was very patient especially when we weren't able to... More

We did nighttime Manta Ray snorkeling with Kevin and Tony. Kevin gave a quick and helpful description of the forthcoming experience about the manta rays themselves, as well as all throughout the snorkeling. The entire crew made sure that everyone was comfortable and re-adjusted our lights/position to make sure we would get close to manta rays while underwater. There were... More
