We wanted to see the volcano but being in Waikoloa makes that a challenge. We took the 2 hour Big Island Experience and it was a wonderful trip! The helicopters were comfortable the pilots were knowledgeable and kept the group engaged. Flying over the volcano and then to the waterfalls it was a magical day. Highly recommend you give it... We booked a 2 hr trip that included the volcano crater and waterfalls. We did get some of the most spectacular views you can imagine! Our pilot was great too, knowledgeable and very reassuring. This was my first helicopter flight and I was unsure as to how I would manage, but thanks to to the professional and very reassuring ground... More

My husband loves geology and was pretty excited about taking the 2-hour Big Island Spectacular tour in the Eco Star. He was not disappointed. I wasn't either, but I didn't have big expectations like he did! It was an expense nevertheless we are glad we splurged. It's something we will remember forever (and we have the DVD in case we... My wife wanted to do the combined Big island tour. It was truly an incredible experience. We flew over the Kilauea Crater. You could see the bubbling lava and the bright red glow. What a once in a lifetime experience! We then flew to the north side of the island to see waterfalls flowing out of the valley walls. I... More

We woke up that morning to big rain clouds but had an early afternoon reservation so we hoped it would clear and let me tell you, it did! The reservations before us were cancelled but how lucky we were to be cleared to fly and.....see the best sites that this tour has seen in years (so we would be told... More

If you want to see the entire Big Island in style, do it from a Blue Hawaiian Helicopter. This was an incredible experience and one of best (if not only) ways to see lava. If the lava's up, you may get lucky at Volcanoes National Park, if it's really up ...well you probably shouldn't be in the area, but from... More

Loved the helicopter tour...but we mistakenly got the helicopter with the smaller windows :( I was placed in the front seat so it did not make a difference for me, but my Father, whose birthday it was was in the back and did not have as good a view. Early morning is the best time to go to avoid the... More

Our helicopter tour of the Big Island of Hawaii was sensational. Exploring the island from the air was breathtaking. Viewing lava flows from Pu'u 'Ō'ō and the ensuing forest fires was an amazing experience. This was my second experience with Blue Hawaiian and it did not disappoint. Exploring the lush valleys and waterfalls was also incredible. A visit to the... More

We did the tour that take you to the volcano and into the valley's in the northeast. You basically get to see the whole island in no time! No matter where the lava is flowing, the pilots go out ahead of you and scout it. We saw trees burning and could smell the smoke. You fly into a couple of... More
