Beautiful beach

Beautiful, pristine beach. There were a lot of fish in the water and the snorkeling was great. We even swam with some turtles.

One of the best beaches on the Big Island. Waves are not high at all. You can also get a ride on the glass bottom boat for a sunset cruise at a nominal price

The beach is family friendly, calmer waters , easily accessible, with plenty of paddle board, etc., rentals as well as concessions, restrooms. Perhaps the best for travelers are the numerous free lounge chairs scattered around.

Anaehoomalu is located on the southern Kohala coast of the Big Island. Many call it "A-bay". It's a public beach located in the Waikoloa resort area with free parking. Anaehoomalu is a white sand beach with a sand volleyball court at one end and a secluded beach area on the other end. Near the volleyball area there are beach chairs... More

We stayed in Waikoloa in October 2015 during Ironman World Championship. We went here a couple of times after the race, to relax. You can take a sunbed, no charge. The water was nice and quiet, and there were a lot of fishies who came to have a look (or little bite!) at you.

"A-bay" beach is a beautiful beach close to the Hilton Waikoloa resort. The water is calm enough to swim, and there are lounge chairs available for relaxing and enjoying the view. The Lava-Lava Beach Club restaurant is within walking distance for lunch or dinner and of course, a Mai-tai or beverage of your choice. We saw sea turtles resting on... More

Snorkeling A-Bay was fantastic - the farther out you go, the clearer the water is, the more coral and sea life you see. Loved it!

You will often find cyclists or canoeing out from a-bay. It's very popular with locals. Lava Lava is the nearby restaurant.

We were lucky to have a beach so close to our rental. Plenty of free parking near the beach and a wonderful time watching sea turtles coming to the beach to rest. We must of seen 6 turtles one afternoon. Please do not touch the turtles as they are protected animals. You can get fined!

Great public beach, easily accessible from nearby hotels. Nice change from resort pools and activities.
