Lovely Sunset

Calm, sheltered beach - perfect for watching sunsets :) We went after the crowds left to watch the sunset. Beautiful views and chairs provided.

Very scenic! You can buy Shave Ice, rent snorkeling gear. See the turtles. Open to public. There is seating in the shade, If your so inclined. My daughters found some very tiny, what we call unicorn shells. There's a canoe club there & I watched many people launch their boats. Bring your camera.

This is a great family beach. The parking is close with lots of shade on the south side. Snorkeling just average until you get out past where they anchor the boats.

This beach is so wonderful. It's got plenty of space to lounge and sun, gentle water and a beautiful setting. The one negative is the water isn't the clearest for snorkeling, especially when the surf even though its far out is high. It stirs up the sand in the bay. BUT, this would be a great spot for paddle boarding.

What a wonderful beach. It has a rental area, lounge chairs, shaded areas and full sun areas. It is located near the King's and Queen's shops. The waves are not as big as Hapuna and this beach is good for all ages.

The most photographed sunset view on the Island of Hawai’i, Anaeho’omalu Bay is the icon of what most visitors envision Hawai’i to be like before they get here…swaying palm trees, a clean beach fronting warm, safe, swimmable ocean and hordes of eager beach boys bearing large, tropical drinks with comical names like “Malahini Wahine Wahoo”. Here at the bay, one... More

This beach was just beautiful, and the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Right when you walk up, you can rent equipment for various water activities, and it is really reasonably priced!

This is where the Marriott and Hilton hotels are. There is also the Queen and King shops with shopping and restaurants. There is a nice beach nearby as well.

I repeat walk away from the initial crowds at the parking lot. The Marriott is very close and has all their guests string along. Take a left and walk half a mile and it will almost seem like your own personal beach. The sea turtles, the oceans waves are not too bad, and there is alot of nice sandy areas.
