A good beach

I rate this a good beach but think the next 4 beaches going north are better such as Puako, Mona Loa and Muana Kea beachs

by far not the cleanest waters on the Kohala Coast--Go north or south from here and you will be rewarded.

Nice and easy water for snorkeling. Water was clear but not crystal. Saw some great fish, there was an under water cave near the coral. Plenty of beach chairs, sun or shade which ever you prefer! No jelly fish in May. Very nice sandy beach.

This beach is located next to Anaehoomalu Bay("A" Bay). It's a nic beach to rent water bikes, paddle boards, etc. Not a boogie board beach or snorkeling. You may see a sea turtle. If you just want to relax and catch some rays, this is a good beach for that

It's a scene right out of a movie- ocean water, palm trees for shade, clean public facilities and Lava Lava Beach Club for food and drink.

Pretty little beach near the Lava Lava beach club - good for snorkelling and swimming. Public bathrooms nearby and sizeable car park.

Located adjacent to the Marriott Beach, and near the Lava Lava Restaurant, supposedly with the best Mai Tai, this is a narrow strip of a beach that is full of coral and lava and rimmed with a fringe of palm trees. I did not see anyone in the waterbut I did see that there were many sheds holding hulls of... More

This was a real gem. You have to swim straight out about 200 meters and the visibility gets much better. You'll see all kinds of beautiful coral formations and turtles munching. The best time I found is between 8-9:30 a.m. during my visit in April, when there's a lull (shift) in wind direction. This isn't as teaming with live as... More

Great spot to paddle board, kayak or swim when calm, which is more often than not. There is an Ocean Sports hut on the beach that has snorkel gear, kayaks and paddle boards for rent. You can also book a glass bottom boat tour from what I remember, although we did not try that. The employees weren't very friendly, but have... More

The chairs are available for anyone to use on this public beach park. We rented a Cabana and did the Aloha Day Special provided by Ocean Sports. Got to use the beach toys, kayaks paddle boards and could have done more!
