Calm, walkable, turtles abound in and out of the water, some rocks/lava, lots of clean sand, bathrooms, Ocean Sports shack where you can eat and rent boards, snorkeling equipment, never crowded, lounges, in the best part of Kohala coast where it seldom rains.NICE! more
This is a great beach at the Marriott. You want thru the ancient fish ponds and petroglyphs to get to the actual beach. Very interesting. There are tons of free chairs for anyone's use. This is the beach right outside the Marriott Waikoloa. It is a pretty nice beach and very close to the hotel. The snorkeling on the right side of the beach is pretty good. We went to this beach on our last day in hawaii. We were tired after a long vacation and just went to this beach to relax. It was a really nice beach and we saw one of the most stunning sunsets we had ever seen. It was not too crowded..I will let the pictures tell the rest of the story. more
